And those are my top 10 coolest and lamest pops of 2013! Disagree with me? Well, leave your list in the comments below!

JokersWild wrote:I don't really have time to sit and go through all my pops, but one I will highly disagree with is the Marty McFly. The design is fantastic, couldn't have been better. Bubble vest, headphones, rolled up shirt with watch, "knock-off" nikes, etc. As an 80's baby and huge fan of this movie, I couldn't see it being done any better.

The white hood is symbolic to the Assassin's Brotherhood and to the franchise as well.
Plus, the Doctor from the Brotherhood/Revelations multiplayer was in the line up as well and he looked VERY unique.

Hahaha I love what you said Huse!!

THIS!!! live people turned into pops is really hard to pull off. you really have get into detail on everything else like what they're holding or what they're wearing to differentiate them from the rest of the crowd.MadLove wrote:JokersWild wrote:I don't really have time to sit and go through all my pops, but one I will highly disagree with is the Marty McFly. This. I think he turned out perfectly. The thing to remember about some of these: Marty, Sam and Dean, Goonies...all those folks have claimed to be "plain".... is that they characters are just people. They don't have fancy costumes like in Game of Thrones or exaggerated faces like cartoon characters. The characters themselves are a product of their time that Funko had to translate into a modern figure. With Marty, it was the detail of the headphones that made me yell "It's so perfect!" when I first saw it. Sorry Gruppet, I disagree, I think it's an excellent POP and design.
I'll ponder my "coolest" list later....

unoudid wrote:by no means is this a list of my favorites. But here are some of what I think were the coolest pieces (in no particular order)
Pops
- Stan Lee (real life person)
- Riot Gear Zombie (sculpt + movable visor)
- Headless Ned Stark (great execution)
- Invisible Bilbo (so many possibilities from this piece)
- Disco Skeletor (just awesome looking)
- Metallic Ghost Rider / Ghost Rider Freddy (great use of color and the sculpt is awesome)
- Beam me Up Star Trek Big Bang Pops (very cool concept)
- Mass Effect line (the translucent pieces are a great touch)
- Merida (the sculpt is beyond awesome)
- Flocked Ralphie
Wobblers
- Rooster Teeth (Burnie Burns and Gus) They are just ridiculous
- 66 Batman set (Nailed every character)
- Metallic 66 Batman
- Pink Cowl 66 Batman Chase

unoudid wrote:Thanks Claire! I almost forgot about the rocketeer. I've been dying to find that proto. It's spot on Pop Prefection! The patina version is so awesome.

I totally agree! He is one of my favorites!!!

unveiling one at a time... was like Christmas haha. I respect your opinions. The world of Pops has a million and 1 different tastes, and its nice to see how other fans rank their interests. Several on the lame list I agree with... except my lovely Assassin's Creed Pops. As mentioned, the personal details of each one on their outfits are awesome and do well to differentiate from their brethren. And now they've made Aveline, a girl with no hood, but rather a hat and braided hair, and have also previously made the Plague Doctor. And the hoods are all different to begin with. I also disagree with Marty McFly. While a little a bland, like u said, his outfit in the movie was bland to begin with... but it screams 80s era to me and gets the job done. I'm not a fan of horror Pops, so Hannibal Lecter is hardly even remotely near to my Top 20, let alone 10. I do love your inclusion of Headless Ned, Manhatten, and Invisible Bilbo... which would probably be in my Top 2, simply for its standout factor. Again, was nice to see and compare everyones tastes

TheLastDude wrote:It's really tough narrowing it down to just ten spots, but I think this gang here would be my tops for 2013.
10. Tin Man
9. White Ranger
8. Predator
7. CM Punk (Bret Hart tribute attire)
6. Headless Ned Stark
5. Batman '66 series...but if I was hard pressed to cut it to one it would be Batman himself
4. Invisible Bilbo Baggins
3. Rocketeer
2. Ace Ventura
1. TMNT series...same as the Batman. If I had to narrow it down I'd pick Raphael. (Because he's my favorite)
