NAME EXCLU WEIGHTS (g)
Aragorn - 1/12 61, 60, 58
Arwen - 1/72 57
Boromir - 1/12 58, 59, 59
Frodo Baggins - 1/6 47, 47
Galadriel GITD - 1/36 B&N 57
Gandalf - 1/12 74
Gimli - 1/12 73
Legolas - 1/12 58
Merry - 1/24 46
Pippin - 1/24 46, 47
Samwise - 1/6 45, 47, 47, 44, 47, 47
Witch-king - 1/36 HT 65,66
It seems as though the cases may be following the same system that the Harry Potter cases did. Has anyone found a letter sticker on the box that the case comes in? The Harry Potter ones had A-F, I think. It seems as though if you pull the witch king from a Hot Topic box, it is likely you will get both Merry and Pippin for 1/24's.

The box we got a couple weeks ago did not have a letter on the outer case. We got a Witch King, and it did indeed have both Merry and Pippin in with it.

Oh my... are these with the boxes or without boxes?

Thanks for this. Gonna buy a scale and put this list to good use. Anyone have any tips when using a scale in a store, as to not seem to weird or draw too much attention to myself?
Velmeran wrote:BN.com updated and you can now order boxes directly now. In the past I've just grabbed from the stores however with at least the stores around me just now getting in their initial 3 boxes (grabbed all 3 from the closet B&N within 20 miles that received their stock and ended up with Merry, Merry & Gandalf) so I'm thinking I'll just order online.
If I were to order 12 from BN.com, would I end up with a case or just 12 loose boxes?

You get loose boxes not a master box. Otherwise I’d just buy that heh.

I just usually clear a spot on a shelf so that the scale is level, and just draw a diagram on my phone or a scrap paper. Then I weigh each according to the layout (in case there are layout patterns). Usually if you are clear about not damaging/opening the boxes, and aren't stealing anything, most won't care (though it sounds like some people have run into stores that don't allow it). Also, make sure if you did clear shelf space that you put the items back properly.

I figured that was most likely the case but thought maybe you'd catch a shipper/packer who wanted to be lazy and just dropped an entire case in.PopNoggles wrote:I bought a Master box from hot topic and pulled Galadriel top right front and didn’t get any ht exclusives. I heard this is normal
Sadly quite normal since the exclusives are 1/36 or 1/72. Galadriel ends up being in the sole spot where an exclusive could go.

What 1/24's did you get? out of curiosity. We opened two master boxes as well.

Thank you! I guess after you do it a bunch of times the awkwardness goes away after awhile.

Basically! If an employee starts to get suspicious, you can always admit to what you are doing, and just mention that you're trying to find the ones you need.
