I was going to post this exact message.
people selling retired pops at 4-10x the price doesn't help Funko in the least. If anything it hurts, not having more money in their pockets for pieces people want.
If anything they need to look at some of the resell prices and base it off that.
If they want to charge more money for previously vaulted items. I'm sure people would still pay. Heck depending on where you shop, pops are different prices. anyway.
Lets get these unvaulted and let new collectors enjoy what others have.
They shouldn't be punished because they started a bit later than others.
for those who don't want this to happen that's a bit of a selfish notion imo. If anything.
Not everyone has been in the right situation to get these when they wanted them. Or for some like myself I was overseas for 5 years and had no way of getting these.
if you paid over retail that was your choice. I understand it stings. heck I haven't been collecting long myself and i've already paid up to 30 for some pops. but I wouldn't be bitter about it coming out for retail later.
LET THIS HAPPEN!
ClownTastic wrote:Why should Funko give two s*** about the secondhand market? They aren't in it to make US money.... I have paid far more than retail for a lot of pieces but if they were rereleased I wouldnt care in the slightest, in fact I would tip my hat to Funko for allowing new and old collectors to finally have access to figures that may have originally been out of their price range.
