I would ask if there is an estimated time just to always be told "I don't know, whenever we feel like opening it back up again", I got this exact sentence twice. I'm being told this as I watch other people go by and line up. Grrrr. On the first day I was actually backed up by staff when all I was doing was trying to take a picture of the Hulkbuster and talk to Collector Corps. Really? I'm not even getting in line and you are physically moving into me so I can go away. At the end of both Thursday and Friday I walked up at the exact moment when they decided to close the booth. As I'm standing there I can see the Deadpool Truck and Rocket with Groot. Woohoo some of what I want is still there! The first day it closed early I was stopped from getting in line because they closed. I told the guy some of the items I want I can see them right there and I got shut down. I am literally trying to give you money and you said no. The second day was essentially the same thing except the response I got back was "Well too bad come back tomorrow". Telling me too bad really upset me. The last day I could get in was Saturday. Back to the same grind of lines not open. Halfway through the day I got denied access to the line because I didn't have a ticket. Wait what? What ticket? The person straight told me I need a ticket to get in line. When the hell did this happen? The other days people just walked up like nothing. I asked where to get them and all he told me was I should have gotten there earlier. Omg can people stop giving me smartass remarks. It was after this I finally gave up on the Funko booth.

I understand the chaos that is SDCC. I understand there will be a lot of rude people. I even understand that I might have been the most unlucky person at this booth. But what I find unacceptable was the sheer rudeness I was given with all the snooty remarks, physically being moved into by staff so I can leave, and the switching to a ticket system on Saturday which I don't even know if this was true. I had a great time at SDCC, but a miserable experience at the Funko booth.

Funko for future SDCCs need to switch to a ticket system like Hasbro and Lego do, or continue with the first come first serve line, but do what Marvel was doing. Marvel would cap the line, and say come back at this time. No matter how small the line got the line would not open until that time came around. I was able to leave, do my thing, and come back around the time they said and got in line. I at least I got the majority of the really cool Marvel pins. I'm only missing two from the blind box set (Black Panther and Captain America).

And yes I completely agree the majority of the rudeness came from the even center staff, but this was Con wide and not just centrally located near the Funko area. One employee actually got in my face while I was trying to pass by the WB booth during a signing. I didn't care for who was signing, but it was so full of people that it became hard to pass through. He got in my face saying "What did I just say? I told you keep moving". I promptly told him off, but is was basically in a harsher way saying I'm trying to.

Sorry about your bad experience jeggy. I can totally relate. I've tried going in line early (3am early) and still no luck. The only booth I really wanted to get to was Funko and all four days it was a big fat fail. Being that it was my first SDCC I didn't know it would be this crazy. The only way I was able to snag some of the exclusives I wanted was through trade. Although I didn't have it as bad as you with rude Funko workers. I did get the occasional make another round and then come back, but no smart remarks. The only rudeness I really experienced was from Staff Pro or whatever they were called. I felt like sometimes they acted like line nazis. I get that they were trying to keep order, but some of them were just plain rude.

That is horrible treatment, Jeggy. Especially the fact that an employee put their hands on your to remove you instead of just being polite. It's things like this that scare me from Comic Cons in general, but that is pretty unacceptable. Hopefully you find everything you were looking for!

They were handing out tickets I believe on Saturday. It was to break the crowd into different groups. That way you can come back at different times. But some people didn't know about it because there was no formal announcements made. I even saw a video of someone trying to hand out the tickets as the mob of people rushed through the exhibit doors. People obviously just beelined it to Funko booth without seeing the one guy handing out the tickets and were turned away. I only knew about the ticket system after seeing someone post it on instagram.

Any exhibitor who has been to SDCC before knows that the event staff needs to keep the lanes clear in order to keep from getting shut down by the fire marshall and can be really harsh about it. Hasbro, Mattel, and Lego have had these issues in prior years and have figured out ways to keep crowding around their booths down. Given their popularity last year, Funko should have been more prepared.

That's why I'll never go to SDCC. I got all the exclusives I wanted by walking into B&N and HT last Thursday. Just sounds like a pain to go through all that.

If you haven't gotten a Rocket w/Groot yet, he's up on Gemini and could still be available at your local HT. I know mine still has them.

Rocket with Groot bought. 1 down 4 to go. I'll visit Hot Topic later today before I go see Ant-Man so hopefully they will have something.

My HT did have SDCC stuff, but anything Marvel was gone. They did however have every single Pop t shirt including the ones at SDCC. I was amazed at the collection they had. I ended up picking up a Thanos shirt. I did however finally stumble upon the elusive Agent May. They had two so you bet I snagged one.

Speaking of which, now that we have one I will be greedy and hope for one in her army uniform. Even better, the one she wore on the show so she can have a big old gun too!

if we're being greedy, how about a CA:TFA line with Peggy in her army uniform, Bucky in his blue Howling Commandos jacket, and Steve in his Captain America field uniform?

I'm missing all Marvel SDCC stuff minus Rocket with Groot.

I actually met my hero. I got to hang out with Stan Lee in his personal suite near the con. That suite was crazy nice. He was super cool, funny, and seemed like your regular crazy old man. I got autographs, heard stories, and got a cool yet funny photo with him. The photo looks something like a family portrait style. I'm going to tell everyone he is my grandpa lol. The stuff I got signed I will treasure forever, and would never trade it or sell it for anything.

I would kill for a First Avenger series! It's the movie that got me into the mcu and I still love the costumes.

Agent Carter - August 2015

Kind of sad? More like a cause for joyous celebration. My wallet needs to recovery from all the recent new Marvel additions. It's almost been too many.

I agree with PWN3R. My wallet needs massive help. I dare say way to many came out for Marvel in such a short period. I still need to find about 10 of them.

I went Pop! hunting in the San Antonio area this weekend and thought it was weird that I saw very little Ant-man Pop!'s or merch. There was a ton of Age of Ultron Pops out prior to the movie release and out of about 15 stores I went to (Hot Topic, B&N, Gamestop, etc) I literally saw 1 Ant-Man and 2 Yellowjacket Pops total. I thought that was weird for the Ant-Man opening weekend.

comicray wrote:I went Pop! hunting in the San Antonio area this weekend and thought it was weird that I saw very little Ant-man Pop!'s or merch.

They released them about one to two months before the movie came out here in Los Angeles California. They all sold out pretty fast out here.

On Twitter I asked about when the unmasked Iron Man would be released and whether or not it would be exclusive to a store. They said they would look into it and get back with me. That was yesterday and I haven't heard anything as of yet. I will let you guys know if I do.

No, AgentM just gets everything early since he works for Marvel.

Release date is September.

Speaking of Scarlet Witch, I wish we would have got a Mystery Mini of her, instead of two Iron Mans, or the Legionnare.

I just got this response on Twitter regarding the Unmasked Iron Man

"It will be released in the US but it will be an exclusive. More details coming"

Not surprised it will be an exclusive, hopefully it won't be too difficult to find once it is released.

Hot Topic has their exclusive GITD AntMan on their website. It wasn't up there a few days ago so I guess they got more in stock.

Were there any key chains ever planned for Ant Man?

I just need more Darren Cross in my life. I want a Yellow Jacket key chain!

Once we get Quicksilver and Netflix Pops, then I'm ready for a drought of new Pops. But it's too soon now!
