That is Disney fans' name for him. Disney never gave him one.

Nightmare is right. Beast never had a name when he was human but the Prince like how Snow White's Prince doesn't have a name but goes by The Prince. I will never call Beast Prince Adam to me Prince Adam is He-man's secret Id. name.

His name is never spoken in the film, no. "Adam" is what fans took to calling him after (I think) a Disney CD-Rom game called him that. But, it isn't canon or anything. The filmmakers have joked about it, too. On the commentary for the DVD/Blu-ray, when Belle rushes to the Beast's aide during the climax, she calls out, "Beast!" and they (Don Hahn, Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale) comment "...And it was just about here when we realized we hadn't bothered giving him a name!" "-Yeah. I mean, what was she supposed yell out? 'Fabio!' 'Derek!'" (I may have gotten a few lines of that wrong, but you get the gist of it.)

Thanks for posting Cristina. This is when I'm really glad Stacey collects the Disney PoP (of course, I'm glad every time new Disney PoP come out). Beauty and the Beast is still one of my favorites. Like Elaine said, these are all a must.
