Some of this is official (per the book) and some of it is based on what we've heard around the board. We'll get confirmation on some of them in a few weeks, I suppose. The list does not include exclusives with known edition sizes -- obviously those aren't still being produced. And I'm not keeping a physical list anywhere, so it's going totally on my memory, and subject to brain farts.

Could somebody please update this list with what appeared on this year's book?

I'm dying to know which Pop!s are retired, because a local book shop and another anime/comic/geek stuff shop brought a bunch of Pop and there were quite a few on the shelves that appear in DocRamon's list.

I think I'm being very optimistic, but is there anyway us as fans can get some of these back in production? If the manufacturers were inundated with requests to bring several of them back? As a new collector, there's a few on that list that I'd want in my collection.

I am doubtful, but a guy can hope [-o<

We still find the majority of those listed on shelves in Australia Bat Wal - at least on this side of the country anyway.

Only ones that stand out as gone over here are a few of the DC ones with the exception of the Dark Knight Rises set which still pop up.

I really hope Funko sticks with their decision to keep them retired. Sure it'd be nice if some of the retired ones were easier to find, but it's not like they are impossible to get. I also think it's also better and more fun for collectors that certain pieces do rise in value over time.

Thanks mate. I've checked it out and they do have many of these. Only one or two that I'm looking for in my DC Universe collection, though, but still a few on this list.

I am 55/45 on this 55 of me would love and i mean love just for them to do another 10+ more off the dc's like the riddler and penguin, green arrow, even tho i have a green arrow and a metallic one(was not cheap but was worth it for my favorite funko's) i still would love it if they made more cause i feel like i missed the party i missed the fun and now because of it i have to pay £100 plus or never see them because of them retiring them. BUT 45 of me also sees this from a collector point of view why they wont and shouldn't so.

as soon as someone posts full page pics of the new catalog, we'll get a better idea of what's retired. but, for whatever reason, nobody has done that.

I hate these type of lists. I understand newer collectors want to know whats not being produced (to give up their search?) but this list serves as a way to increase the price of certain pops (yes supply/demand spare me).

Better it be done this way than sellers being shady and claiming something is retired when it isn't.

List also serves as motivation if you are on the fence about getting a particular POP. Knowing that xxxx POP is retired and won't be produced any longer is a good thing.

The list itself doesn't do that. The very fact that they are retired does that.
The list simply makes it easier, but the actual supply won't change.
Only thing where I could agree with your statement is that certain collectors might want to buy them more eagerly now because they realize they might not get them otherwise anymore.

it should also be noted that newly retired pops aren't immediately 'worth more.' it takes time for existing supplies -- both in stores and at funko's warehouse -- to dry up. DC series 3 was retired in June 2012 and prices didn't start going up until late 2013, more than a year later. uglydolls have been retired for at least a year now, and you can't give them away.

so any updates to the list probably won't (or at least shouldn't) change value much.

i actually have a theory on the tyrion one...

it was originally released as an HBO holiday exclusive, and most of us were shocked (upset) that it was also then being released with the regular wave. but perhaps there was some sort of confusion or mixup that left funko with an enormous amount of extras that HBO wasn't taking. the solution was then to release tyrion with the wave initially.

but remember... retired does not mean gone. it simply means that funko isn't producing it anymore. there's obviously plenty of stock out there for tyrion right now. but he might not get any more made because it was supposed to be a limited exclusive run. funko warehouses could very well be full of them. but once that's gone, that figure in particular will not continue to be produced, while the rest of the wave will.

Same thing obviously goes for the ugly doll pops :P Nobody seems to want them and they've been retired for ages.
I'm a little upset about the star wars retired pops though, I've been wanting to start that collection and it seems that a lot of them are now out of production. Better start collecting them soon.
