Dragonball Z Pops

I have been asking the question and tossing the idea out there for these for a while now. And yes I know I wasn't alone. But now with the catalog pictures revealed and the first wave seeming to have five it leaves me pretty darn pleased that my biggest Funko wish has come true.

My only complaint is about there not being a Gohan as he is my favorite character. However I do understand putting Goku and Vegeta first and that for most people to have three Saiyans including two that would look nearly identical could be a bit of an issue.

My questions would be how does everyone else feel about the concept art? I personally love how they look so far and can't wait to get my hands on the protos and production pieces.

Secondly, who would you like to see in a second wave if we got additional pieces? Gohan, Majin Buu, Krillin, Trunks, and Android 16 would be my picks of whims is most like to see.

Bravo Brian and thank you for giving me several grails to be after with these protos and any potential exclusive pieces that may come.

I think everyone wants these protos, I know I want Vegeta and SSJ Goku's color protos. The concept art is amazing. I kinda wish SSJ Goku was an exclusive and we got regular Goku instead, but I'm not complaining. Vegeta is perfect, they all are perfect. I feel like there's great potential for exclusives, especially a GITD Freiza, metallic SSJ Goku, and even battle damaged variants. The possibilities are endless.

So how do you know what a prototype is and how do u get them haha Im new to these as I only have on Pop! figure but I love dbz and have man figures of them and recently bought the trunks Figuarts Zero figure that released recently haha Trunks is my favorite! I WANT THESE how can I get that book lol

This was my favorite show growing up, brings back so many great memories. I'll be happy with whatever they put out and can only hope that these will do well and many characters will be covered.

Omg this is amazing!!!! I want these! I'm going to get all of them! Hoping For exclusives!!!! DBZ was my favorite show growing up, it still holds up to this day for me.

It's been my favorite show since I was in the fifth grade. (Now 24). I would love exclusives of different versions of Frieza or Cell as well as SSJ Vegeta and non SSJ Goku. Battle damaged is a great possibility as well. I know of a lot of DBZ trading card fans that will be all over these.

When I saw Vegeta's concept art, I let out a squee of excitement. When I first heard DBZ POPS were being made, I hoped and hoped that if Vegeta were to be made, that they'd go with his Saiyan Saga look (red scouter & tail) and Funko didn't let me down. Honestly, I wasn't even planning on getting anybody except Vegeta of the main cast, but seeing that concept art makes me want the whole set.

It may not be a popular choice, but, I want to see GARLIC JR. most of all. He was always one of my favorites as a kid (but that may be just because Toonami use to run the Black Water Mist saga every year). I think he's underrated and always liked the character enormously. If they did GT characters, I wouldn't mind seeing SUPER ANDROID 17 and BABY VEGETA.

These look great, one of the best pops I saw from the TF pics. These protos will definitely be highly sought after, but maybe they will be at SDCC.

Next series, I'd expect some jamor characters and some randoms, maybe:

Trunks
Krillin
Gohan
Bulma
Buu

I'm really expecting GITD SSJ variants instead of Metallic though.

Piccolo was always my favorite and im so stoked to see him in this series. GITD Frieza would be so awesome but im just excited to see anything they make DBZ

These are definetley in my top 3 must haves that I've seen from toy fair! They look better than expected! Im glad Piccolo is in the set, he is my favorite character!

Gohan as the giant oozaru was actually within the Z series. It was Goku that was during Dragonball.

Agreed. He was being controlled either way but when he was Majon it was just to use it to become stronger than Goku. His sacrifice to try and stop Buu still is one of the best moments in the series.

I disagree. I think Baby Vegeta is a more appealing design. I mean, it actually LOOKS like a fusion between the villain parasite (Baby) and the host body (Vegeta's). Majin Vegeta is just Vegeta with an 'M' on his forehead, really.

I want these so badly! Vegeta is my favourite. Id kill to have him as my first proto! These designs are great, and I agree, I think Gohan would just be a smaller Goku but it would be a really cool idea to do a mini pack with Gohan with a tail and then his monkey form with him maybe?

frieza's super sleek. Insta buys for sure! Love the series 1 choices.... 2 top heroes, 2 top villains. Series 2 should be pretty well balanced too I'd imagine... Gohan/Krillin, Trunks, Buu, and another baddy. I'd love to see a 6 or 9 inch Oozaru. unlikely, but u never know with funko.
