Retired Pops Question

Postby Measured Mayhem » Tue Nov 19, 2013 10:27 pm

It seems not all retired pops are created equal in a sense. For example Bane seems a lot harder to find and a lot more expensive than the Avengers pops which seem pretty plentiful and haven't really had a jump in price. I some times doubt they are actually retired. Does this have to do with the amount in the original production run or just demand? I know release date plays a role too but weren't bane and the avengers released around the same time?

Production numbers usually. For example Loki was one per case when released. So when it was gone and ppl really wanted it, price surged.

Not to worry, I'm sure you can still find Bane for a reasonable price.

Well if you don't need/want/like it, then there is no need in buying it.

dont think bane was retired, but it was from the dark knight rise pop set so those are probably harder to find now. but still can find them. movie pops that are released at the time of the movie release tends to be harder to find over time.

There's a Gold Loki up on ebay now and I never, ever see him for sale anymore. He has to be the rarest superhero pop out there in terms of availability; even Flashpoint Batman comes up every few weeks.

I see the Gold Loki on ebay far more than the Flashpoint Batman.
