How bad do you have it?

I cant seem to buy any toys for my collection without thinking how the money would translate to POPs' , let's see, I can buy this Mafex Batman for $40 or 4 new Pops! 3 new Marvel Legends? Thats around $60 or 6 POPS !....Its a sickness for sure.

I agree with you. Sometimes I'm out and thinking about buying a graphic novel, marvel universe figure or whatever but then the thoughts of needing certain pops comes into my head and I just come home and buy more online. Its growing extremely quickly now and no signs of stopping.

Every time I'm at the cash register buying my lunch at work all I do is think about how that money could be going towards more pops. I almost feel guilty about it.

When I get down to the last of my paycheck I start to think about the cheapest way to feed myself so I can have that much more for POPs. I have also turned down going out with friends because that's money that could be spent on POPs. Basically, the whole reason a work a 2nd (and occasionally 3rd) job that makes it so I work 6 or even 7 days a week is so I can buy POPs. So yeah, I've got it bad I think.

I put up my SDCC 2013 Boba Fett Exclusive, just to buy more Pops. It took 2 weeks to put up I kept fighting it but then I thought to myself why fight it. But at $30.00-$40.00 a figure from the series I'd rather buy way more Pops.

I use POPs to teach my son the value of a dollar. So now when he asks what an item costs I have to answer in POP. For example, he will be looking at a Star Wars lego set and ask the price. I will say $50 and he says so that's 5 regular POPs or two special POPs. :-)

Oh and now Mystery Minis are part of explaining prices. Got to love Funko! It helps teach kids the value of a $1

Yep, I have done it a couple times. Mostly when I'm thinking of buying other more expensive figures. Like damn, I could have gotten way more pops for that price! So I guess I'm a mild case.

I'm in a lull....haven't bought a Pop in at least a week, tho I made an offer on a Chase this week. Still waiting for the news on that $$$. When I started, collection grew so fast, spent SO much quickly. Glad SDCC is over, spent way too much then.

Luckily these are the only collectibles (toys or any other) that I'm buying at this time. The feel to need every version has waned some, think the innumerous Deadpool options helped with that. I'm ok to say no to GITD...well except for Reverse Flash, but those versions I can leave alone (for now).

There's also the part where the manager at my store who orders Funko consults me on what and how much to get. If we get in a shipment on my day I've gotten genuinely annoyed that my cowowkers didn't call me to say so. And if someone else checks them in then I will admittedly get huffy "How's the condition of the boxes?? Did you check for flaws in the paint??" The managers even told me I'm too picky and it sorta hurts my brain when they say it's "good enough" even if there's a paint flaw or a creases corner on the box.

God I have it so bad, and now it's getting worse since I'm starting to get into customizing. Sometimes I have to buy two just to get a body and a head that I want to use, in addition to my actual collection.

It hurts my wallet...but I can't stop. It's seriously an addiction haha

i do the same thing! i'd go to the casino and end up saying "DAMN.......I COULD HAVE BOUGHT 10 Pops AND A 9' BLACK BATMAN FREDDY!!"

I haven't made a pop purchase in weeks. Mostly because I got my tail handed to me during the Gemini/SDCC run (took me a while to recover). I haven't purchased a thing since. Feels weird. I haven't even been pop hunting. I'm waiting for a few pre-orders to come in and I think I will just have to stalk the web to see if I can get those Batman Freddys, Flashpoint Batman (yup still trying to get him), or Illidan. Those are really the only pops I am looking for. Sad thing is, so is everyone else. XD I feel like I am going through pop withdrawal.

And their not even funatics!!

People at the comic shop I go to, other collectors of toys (non-Funko), customers who come to my shop to buy snacks.....it's awesome to hear "oh I've hear of you! Your the guy who has the crazy collection! That's awesome!"

That puts a smile on my face, that's what fuels my collection growth

Just bought 16 more pops to get the shelf filling going. It's awesome buying pops in sets off of ebay... I got the 16 pops for about $8 each, with shipping included. Just gotta be careful since most people selling sets on ebay are actually charging over $11 a pop... Just doing the math helps a lot.

I'm trying my best to make sure all of the regular pops I'm buying don't cost over $9 each. Gotta shave money off somehow! lol

Yeah, I almost hate going into Hot Topic and even B&N to look for Pops. All the stores in the area either know why I'm in their store or they give me a weird look. Depending on my mood, I either just avoid eye contact like a weirdo or I try to give them a nasty look like I'm saying "Shut up, at least I'm in your store and not buying online". Either way I'm sure I looks stupid haha.

Anyhow, as far as my addiction goes. Over the past year I've had at least a dozen dreams where I'm either finding Pop's I'm looking for, or happen upon a place that's selling protos and other rare pieces where I have to try to pick them up but I'm either broke or don't have enough money for them all. It usually ends up being a very stressful dilemma, and then I wake up and find out I didn't actually buy anything... Worst. Dream. Ever!
