The Dr Whooves pop was listed on Funko's board of designs/sculpts from Jacob's visit to the Funko headquarters

it's weird because the design isn't even on the back of the mlp funko pop box...is it part of the mlp line or is it just going to be apart of the Dr. Who line that is coming up?

I just saw the HT email yesterday explaining that they would have Derpy, Dj Pony, and DR WHOOVES as exclusives starting next month and they would be exclusive for 3-4 months. So....I'm fairly certain it's in the first wave.

I mean I'd LIKE it to be in a series 2 (because that means there IS a series 2 with Apple Jack, Rarity, Spike, The Great and Powerful Trixie, etc) but I really doubt they'd have glams for series 2 before series 1 is released c'mon man.

Also this is sort of what I meant but by hoping it had lidded eyes, like all the other releases of it kind of look sad or bored. So I photoshopped some eyelids on it, not sure if better or not...

I like Dr. Whooves, and Derpy is cute of course, but I really wish they'd given us the whole of Mane 6 in wave one. :oS

While my favorite is rainbow dash (she gets plenty of love) I wish the whole main 6 was represented before some of these background characters.

I do love these background characters but would be happy to wait for them if I could get all mane 6 at first.

But what's done is done. I'm just trying to figure out if I have space for them and do they go with my pony stuff or my pops...

I am wondering if there has been a switch. I bought a bunch of the protos from Gemini. They never got one for Pinkie Pie yet there is a Glam photo for her. There is a proto For Dr. Whooves yet he was not supposed to be in the original 6 and if you notice in Brian's new book the number on his box is seven. I believe Ron is correct that he was meant for series 2 BUT I wonder if they got switched. Maybe that is why Funko said we are getting Dr. Whooves and I wonder if we will be getting Pinkie Pie in series 1. Although there is an exclusive Pinkie Pie so I give up and I'll just wait and see what comes out!

Well it was technically a glam shot. a picture of the actual figure with the box at an angle next to it. If someone had a decent scan of it you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

as for why it's not on the back I couldn't say. I figured it was something more rare maybe? Like an additional figure that isn't listed? I don't want to say chase I don't think that's the right word.

And well... I don't know where this figure is coming out, if ever, but if it does we know what it will look like due to this book image, faulty as it may be.

It's always fun to speculate I say.

Pinkie Pie is my favourite too, but she gets lots of love, and has a vinyl figure coming soon. Poor Rarity and Applejack seem to be shoved onto the side lines all the time (I spy a Rarity plot..).
I really like Rarity when the series doesn't revert her to the selfish persona just to create a moral.
We've just finished season 1, and I thought "Suited for Success" and "A Dog and Pony show" were some of the best episodes the whole season. (along with most of Pinkie Pie's episodes..)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to when we get more info about these protos and the series. There's several vinyl protos without glams too atm.

I just ordered Dr. Hooves, Derpy, vinyl Pinkie Pie and vinyl Lyra from Hot Topic. I since I didn't felt like waiting, I also ordered Dj Pon-3 from Popcultcha. Total price with shipping for Dj Pon-3 was about the same these things cost, if bought here from Finland, so I decided to pull the trigger.

Yeah I went to the site this morning, both were already gone and sadly now Walking Dead pops yet. I bet someone bought them all out to ebay them like that guy that bought out the HBO store with the Ned and sold all 15 at once on ebay.

Actually Dr. Whooves was only given to him by fans. His first name was Time Turner then they changed it to Dr. Hooves, so that is the correct spelling. And my Hot Topic has a ton of Derpy, The Dr. and DJ. It also makes sense that they didnt do all the main characters for the first wave, they never do. My Game of Thrones didn't get all the Starks right off the bat, you space them out with some must haves and some fillers so you sell more! Friend of mine at work loves this Pop series though.
