thanks it will be more cabinets like the one my disney and marvel POPs are on and the base will be what the huck banks are in. i should be able to fit 3 or 4 more along that wall. but it will take me a little time. between being blind and my bad legs it takes me a lot longer than normal to build these

Re: Your display, the Funko way!
thanks everyone, ive been offered a lot of cabinets around here as well with some stores closing but i enjoy building them myself as it gives me something to do. ive been retired since 2 days before i turned 22 so it gets pretty old. im by no means a carpenter but again it keeps me busy, plus i can build them exactly how i want them.
i still need to replace a few pops that got water damage, luckily it wasnt any rare ones. but a few soaked up water like a sponge and i cant get it out with drilling a hole in the bottom and it would be easier to just replace them. i cant believe how fullof water a few got, it went in right were the head meets the body.
i still have a good amount in storage all my funkovisions, my wobblers that are still in boxes, nd a bunch of misc stuff.

yes i was severly wounded in afghanistan 2 days before i turned 22. it techincally took another year and a half before i was officially retired but that time was spent at walter reed having surgeries. im 30 now so ive been retired for awhile now. i cant drive because im completely blind in one eye and legally blind in the other, that with my leg injuries makes me basically home bound unless my wife is doing the driving. so building my cabinets gives me something to do

So I moved a small cabinet to the right of my desk to fit about 64 more pops from the ground up.
The missing spots in the corner are for the future Marvel and DC figures. There are so many figures being released.. I'm going to have to sleep on POPs

This allows me to fit 6 figures across instead of 5 with them facing out. Just doin' what I can to save tiny bits of space

thanks and to answer the questions its a bit sketchy when im using the power tools. i mainly use my chop and pull saw i think it can do up to 14 inchs wide which is fine for all my funko cabinets. i have a table saw but i try and not use it as ive had too many close calls with that. that and last summer i missed my toe by a inch or two with a nail gun. so i just take my time and thats why its taken me so long my statue cabinets are the only ones ive had to use pluwood and that i got cut at lowes. basically for my funko cabinets i use the chop saw, nail gun androuter. my statue cabinets so far except for 2 of them which are close to finished are just 2x4 frames and plywood covered in felt for shelving. i still need to do the side and back panels and trim on most and thats the hardest for me because the cuts have to be perfect or close to it so basically i cut it a little long and keep taking a little off until it fits. im sure im doing things a** backwards but ive never been taught anything i just figure out what works best for me as i go. the only thing im not going to do myself is the sliding glass panels when the cabinets are all done that i will hire someone to do and all the lighting im going to need in my basment. i hate anything electric just putting up a couple pieces of drywall i electricuted myself.
someone asked how long ive been collecting. ive been collecting statues for around 8 or so years and funko going on 3 i think. statues is the majority of my collection
