I'm actually disappointed that Funko Pop is sold at so many stores. Is it just me?

Obviously, as a business owner I don't like the competition but more importantly, from a non-business owner point of view, I liked it better when Funko seemed a little bit more exclusive and harder to find. It felt like more of a novelty item and a bigger treat when I'd actually find their products. Now, I see them at Barnes and Noble, Target, Zia, Journeys, Toys R Us, etc.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's just me or if you guys get a little of that feeling too. I LOVE Funko and I'm glad to see they're doing so well but I guess I also loved the challenge of finding their products too.

I like going into Barnes & Noble watching people pick up the Pops. I like watching the sickness spread a bit. But I also know that there are many other ways to collect these that are beyond Barnes & Noble and Target. You can still collect Disney exclusives, SDCC exclusive, Fun Day exclusives and Freddy's. You can get into chases, protos, and other variants. There are many many many Funko items that will not be seen at the bookstore.

given how often pops have paint problems, i always try to purchase them in-person rather than ordering online. so, for that reason, i want as many options as possible for finding new characters, to increase my chances of getting one with decent paint. if that means going to a comic book store, bookstore, toy store, drug store... whatever, don't care.

My Walgreens actually has a few. Some Star Wars and a TDKR Batman, but the boxes are usually damaged.I've seen a couple at the local Gamestops, and they had The Avengers & Amazing Spider-Man at Target, and my local comic shop is actually getting some Bloody Bicycle Girl Zombies.Other than that, nothing around me.I live in a small town,so I guess we get the butt end of the deal. That's why I'm jealous of everybody on here, because you guys can actually go to a store and buy them in person, and that's why 98% of my collection has been bought online. My closest Barnes & Noble stores are an hour in two different directions, one in Frederick,Maryland and the other close to Harrisburg, and one Disney "outlet" store in Hershey.Everything's a long trip. It's kind of depressing!!!

The way I see it, the more places that carry Funko the more opportunity we have at them making more pieces of different licenses.

I see your point. I guess I just miss the challenge is all.

Challenge is nice, but that's where chase pieces come in! Nothing is better than finding a chase during a "hunt"!

I wish Marvel had chase pieces!

Those do seem to be the best pieces and definitely worth the hunt!

It is fun hunting for the chase pieces but a better feeling when you actually find one in the wild. When I first started, I thought I would never find a chase piece...but later on, I found some and completed the DC chase pieces. It was fun but spent a long time completing the set and expensive.

Around here I have very limited places to find Pop!s... They are rarely in Walgreens (in 5 stores I have only seen them in 2 and only saw a total of 5 Pop!s). I've never seen them in any of the Targets or Toys R Us.

I have 2 B&N "near" me (30 min drive to either one) and in the 5 months I have been collecting, neither of them have restocked other then the Xmas ones and a few 9" Batmans. Then there's a Zia Records about 45 min away and a Frys an hour away. And the Frys has a crap selection. So nope... I find the amount of Pop available in my "area" disappointing. :(

Checked another Walgreens on the way into work and nabbed a dark knight batman and a spidey based on the recent movie. Noticed a dollar more price difference in a Minneapolis Walgreens compared to suburb.
I often answer to the name Ryan.

What area of town do you live in? I'm in East Mesa and I've seen them all around town. I haven't been in a Walgreens lately though. Is there anything specific you're looking for?

I'm over in AJ.

Nothing specific in the DC/Marvel line since I can find those at B&N no problem, but in the Star Wars line, I'm dieing to get a Gamorrean Guard, Jedi Luke & Obi-Wan... the others I need I've seen at B&N as well. I went to a couple Walgreens over in Mesa today... near the Val Vista B&N. Saw some Avengers & 2 C-3POs.

Tomorrow I might make a run to Zia Records in Tempe... will see.

At Christmas time the Toys R Us on Power had some but then they had a shelf clearing rush and I haven't seen them since. If I happen to see them again I'll let you know.

I'm pretty sure Journeyz at Superstition Springs has some too. Not sure what kind but they used to display some in their window.

Also, there is a Zia on Dobson and Chandler and the new one on Camelback and 19th Ave has a pretty large selection if you are ever in that area.

Went to the Walgreens by my work during lunch... $8.99 (same price as B&N) but they only had Amazing Spiderman in stock.

Now it seems I will be stopping by Walgreens when I see one since the price can't be beat.
My name is Paul and I live in America's Finest City.

Collecting The Big Bang Theory POPs & DC+Domo POPs, and a few random POPs here and there that I 'must' have.
