How often does Funko "retire" figures?
Is there a policy that they follow or is it just random?

In the case of figures like Red Skull that Pop was made for a specific movie and was retired there after. I think on the other end random based on sales.

Bear, The movie Pops, are they just one run, then when they sell out they are retired?

It all depends on the contract I think and I think Brian might do a few to keep Funko a collectable and not mass produced

This is a good question. Is there anywhere we can look up which pops are retired? I think i may have to go grab the Dark Knight rises Batman before he disapears.

A good rule of thumb is to treat every pop like it will be re-released. Many peiople have spent a high dollar amount on a pop when it was supposed to be retired only to see more come out later on. Boo and Helmet Thor are great examples.

Statistically speaking, 100% of all Funko products made will be retired.
When they are retired, as others have explained, varies from figure to figure.

That's what it was. Old boxes found in both Gemini and I think b&n... Loki was thought to be retired and people were dropping a lot on him and he was found in Australia for $21 shipped.

That is a nice list, thanks Christopher. If only there was a way to keep it up to date...but I guess the only people that could officially say are those working at Funko. The rest of us would just have speculation of realizing something can't be found months later. Would like to be able to make sure I snag all the retired ones asap before buying the more common ones. But then again, I suspect that if funko officially said that some pop was retired, that same day all the stores would raise their prices to reflect that...so...I guess it is a trade off.

Not to mention everyone on eBay would bump their prices up as soon as they see the post on this board.
