Miser brothers variants? Quality mix up, or ???!!

My girlfriend purchased me the miser brothers for a late birthday gift. They have flat paint on them. I just received my order from Westfield comics, and they have glitter on them. Like the Jack and Sally Winter Wonderland editions. The boxes are the same, and there is no sticker on them, but they appear like the paint was intentional. Anybody hear of this, or is it just a quality assurance issue? Thank you. Regards, Christopher

if you have an account on a free site like photobucket, it's really easy to copy and paste links...otherwise you have to upload pics, and may have to resize them so you can post them.

The Miser brothers I purchase last year were glittery. Maybe on newer stock they stopped doing the glitter (I like them better sparkly). Or maybe you just got some really cool error pieces.

Thanks Kathryn. I like the glitter better as well. He is also a tad taller than the non glitter version. Weird.

My heat miser has glittery paint and i got it from a comic shop but my cold miser is non glittery and he came from target. maybe it's a big box retail vs not?

I got both of mine last holiday season.

I can see this being the case. Not so much an error or a chase, but a change in production.

I just dug mine out and looked.They both have the glitter on them.I got mine off of Amazon back in July.I like the glitter on them better.

dark/light

These are all production issues that happen on a factory level and have been going on for all the years I have been collecting Funko. If they are special to you............then all the better for your Funko collection! No variant with this finishing issue.

Variants are usually 99.9% announced by Funko

did funko formally announce yellow logo batman?

it's all semantics. error, production issue, variant -- the end result seems to be the same, however. there appears to be a significant number of figures that are different in some way. like kevin said, it's on the individual collector to decide how that change will impact their buying, if at all.

if i had simply heard that some were matte and some were glittered, i probably would have ignored it. but seeing the pics, i admit, i really want to get both versions. it sounds like such a subtle change, but results look dramatically different, to me at least.

picked up the glittered ones today at a local toy shop... it seems like all of the matte ones were found at target. yes? has anyone seen these at target this year?

I was at a Newbury Comics today and they had a matte heat miser and glittery snow miser. i am looking for glittery versions of both but the snow miser box was horrible
