Wizard of oz pop!
The flying monkey from wizard of oz was my first pop and what made me even aware of funko at all...it continues to be one of my favorites (would love the flying monkey Freddy to go with it) but I was wondering if anyone knows if funko plans on making the rest of the characters from the wizard of oz in pop form.

They might make more after the new Oz movie comes out. But I really don't know.

Yeah looks pretty cool. It is a prequel to the book though and has little to do with the original movie

You read my mind. I was going to post a topic about this. This is one of my favorite lines. I would really like to see Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Glinda be made into Pop!s. We already have them in Wobbler form and Funko was already able to get the license so hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to get the rest of these made. Plus a flocked Cowardly Lion and a metallic Tin Man would make great SDCC exclusives. Maybe we could even get Scarecrow with real straw.

Wizard of oz pop!
I would really love to see this line continue. I still have yet to pick up the first 3, but I plan on getting them soon!
The new movie looks good so far, but it had seemed to have a lot of production issues early on. A lot of other fans of Wizard of Oz are also blasting it for being a little too much like Alice in Wonderland and seemingly ignoring its base material. I think it looks fun, but it may have a hard time in the box office.

I'd also like a winkie guard...they made that in wobbler form too. And how cute would a few of the main munchkins be?

I really would like to see more of these too. At least all the characters that have had plushies/wobblers.

I just hope we get more characters from the classic movie, and they don't all of a sudden decide to just do ones from the new film.

BTW, does anyone know why the Flying Monkey is called the Winged Monkey by Funko?

When Baum introduced them in the first book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, he called them Winged Monkeys as did MGM for the 1939 film. I don't think anyone has really researched when Flying Monkey became synonymous with Winged Monkey but both terms now carry equal weight.
I'd love for Funko to add the mini POP!s as Munchkins so they'd be size proportionate and downright adorable.
And then make Disney's Return to Oz! Jack Pumpkinhead begs to be Funko'd.

I am a HUGE Wizard of Oz fan. I have probably watched it over a 100 times in my life. Can not wait for this movie...but I am afraid that my expectations are soooooooo high I may be disappointed. I hope not!

Re: Wizard of oz pop!
I agree! I need a Scarecrow, Tinman, Cowardly Lion, Glina, Lollipop Guild Munchkin, and Lullabye League Munchkin. I would flip over a SDCC Metallic Tinman and Flocked Lion!!
