The Crow - Movie POP

Hi guys - after seeing some of the customs on the board I figured I would take a stab at one. I haven't started to make this yet but wanted to post it here to see what kind of feedback I would get in case I needed to make some changes. I'm still not sure about the eyes (black vs. white) but I think the white looks slightly better.

Back in the day I used to do a lot of custom action figures so I think It might be fun - not to mention that the Crow is one of my all time favorite movies!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm fortunate that both pieces that make up this little guy are readily available (Starchild from KISS & Nick Fury from Avengers) so I'll try to make one soon and see how it goes. If it turns out well I'll make a few extras and gladly do trades with boards members...I don't have any other POPs of real value and can't seem to find a chase to save my life!

Love The Crow, but seeing it a year ago I realized how campy it was and the acting was laughable.
Very creative idea.

I know what you mean...I was was watching the original Star Wars trilogy with my 5 year old daughter recently and was amazed at how badly acted some parts of it were. It's funny how movies that we are in love with seem so much different years down the road. Of course I still love the movies...they will always be perfect (in my mind)

Hahaha...you guys are killing me! I ordered the POPs I need on Amazon today to try my "prototype". I'll let you know how it comes out!

That looks great. I stared at those kiss figures trying to decide what they could be...and nothing. The Crow seems so obvious now. Nice mock up on the box too.

So the good news is that my Nick Fury & Starchild (KISS) POPs arrived from amazon to begin work on the custom. The (not so) bad news is that the Starchild that Amazon sent me is a GITD Chase!! It figures - the first POP that I bought with the intention of taking it apart and it's now the most collectible/valuable POP that I own!

So I ordered another regular one from Amazon while I figure out what to do with my glowing POP. Is there anyone that needs it or wants to trade me? Also, I'm looking for a few more Starchilds if anyone sees them - I remember reading positings about people finding them at FYE and other stores on clearance for dirt cheap. If anyone has extras - let me know

Wow, that's amazing that they sent you the glow chase. You should post it for a trade to get something that you want. I'm not in the market for any Kiss, but someone else may be.

Hi Everyone....so here he is with a few of his friends. The Crow and Ash have custom boxes...I haven't made one for Indy yet. I just entered all 3 into the Funko custom contest...hope you like them:

The Crow was a Kiss Starchild head on a Nick Fury body with some modifications done with Apoxie Sculpt. He's 98% done as I still have to make & paint the "ropes" on his chest and do a few touch-ups with the paint.

Custom #2 is Ash from the Evil Dead movies & Army of Darkness. Ash was a Michael Myers body with a NBA player left arm & an Aquaman head with A LOT of hair sculpting. The straps, torn shirt & chainsaw were also sculpted.

Custom #3 is Indiana Jones. Indy was a Jason Voorhees body with a NBA player head & a Freddy Kreuger hat. The whip & shoulder bag were sculpted. Unlike the other two, I didn't have time to make a custom box for Indy yet. There is a 4th custom (a super special surprise for a board member) but it's not quite finished yet...hopefully in a few more days it will show up on somebody's doorstep ;-)
