I'm not sure what to do as I'm not very savvy when it comes to kid robot stuff. I really need to get this piece:



It says on the website that you can get it online or kidrobot stores on Sept.2. Do you think I'll be able to get it online or should I go to LA to get it? Basically does anyone have any idea if these sell out right away or if you think I have a better chance to score one if I actually show up there? What's the deal??? I really wanna get one and don't wanna pay some crazy ebay price. Please HELP!

if you go on line....chances are they will be sold out ASAP if it is a limited run. if you go to the store I say be there before it opens to make sure you get one, sometimes they only have a limited amount in stores and a limited amount to be sold on- line. you could always wait around and check the web site before midnight and just stay up til it hits. find out how limited this piece is, if its a big production run you can wait it out and they will pop up sooner or later at a decent price

HMMMM. I guess those are retailers but I don't know if they will have this exclusive. I'm going to call on Monday and get an idea of what's going on. I just didn't know if anyone had ever done this before.

I looked for certain pieces from them before, again it all depends on how limited they are....the less of a production run, the more people will be waiting for it to pop up for sale. hope you are able to score one, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

I don't know the run of this one, but it doesn't mention if it's limited. I'd probably try to buy it right away though if you want it. I would imagine there are more people who think this is as cool as we do.

I saw two different Lard Boys at SDCC- one was fairly large, and one was somewhat small, which might have been this one. But, I am unsure if the small one was a sneak-peek piece or if it was available for sale. Am sure eBay has some listed if they were a limited SDCC edition or something.

They had a pre-release at the Con. They did a 3" version and a 6" version.

Yeah, I would find out how limited it is. If you need help with this, the Melrose store isn't far from me.

I would not be too worried about getting it online. I bought one at SDCC and they seemed to have plenty of them. I don't think it is as limited as many of their pieces. If you do it online, just go online when they say they will drop and you should be able to get one. I have purchased some of their limited stuff online and as long as I was on the site near the drop time I was able to get it.
BTW nice choice, this is an awesome piece.

You should be okay online, get on early and keep hitting refresh, I don't think this will be an instant sell out.

You can also call other stores that carry KR toys, and see if they are getting them, and if you can either hold one or prepay for one.

But I think you will be okay on this one.

You don't have to worry. You can get him which ever way is convenient for you . You will not have to stand in line or wait at your computer.

A 6' lard lad would be awesome. A friend had a full size Big Boy in his living room. That was an awesome piece, it was made from the same mold as the ones at the restaurants.
