LE Lottery is here to stay?

Postby geekygent78 » Wed Feb 25, 2026 10:31 am

Now that we have our first look at the new pops coming out at ECCC, the real question is why are they all LE and require 200 fan reward points for each pop. I'm not understanding. If I want to purchase one of the pops online, I have to use 200 points for each one? It's not going to be like before where I can just purchase them on Funko?

Not many people like that they have to enter a lottery to get one of the pops. It appears the only way you can guarantee you'll get all of them is if you go to one of the stores.

I think this is a trial run to see how the public reacts to a solution Funko has come up with to give people a fair chance of getting a pop.

How does everyone feel about all LE pops being part of a lottery?

Not a fan of all the con LE drops being part of lottery. Sometime its better to be fcfs on con releases...

Hmmm that seems to me like their solution to having official con stickers mixed into the online drop. But it also limits sales in general so not sure how smart that is.

I think it would have been better if they did the lottery ONLY with points. I know there are legal issues with that but opening it to any login will make this so that very few of anyone will win.

I think they will eventually change it to where points will be required to enter the lottery and then returned if you don’t win.

I think they should charge you if you get chosen. This way we aren't using our points up on every drop we want. They still add up.

You get one free entry, which is good but it also incentivizes people to make fake burner accounts. then you can do an optional entry for points.

That would be nice but I don’t think they want the hassle of returning points
