Will Funko Rewind survive?

Take advantage of momentum, biggest driver in success in my opinion.

I think thats what they were trying to do, but momentum can quickly disappear in today's market. and also the time it takes for them to produce new product can take awhile while the momentum can change sadly

Kind of a Catch-22 with the Retro Rewind line. Gotta start with the most popular characters to get the ball rolling and drum up interest, but people didn't find them interesting because it only featured popular characters. Personally, I think they looked too much like sodas and thats why they didn't really take off.

Gotcha! I haven't purchased a lot in awhile, and the Retro Rewind was not how I wanted to get back into it.

I still continue to pick up here and there. For the few I have, I really like them. It's an acquired taste, I'll give everyone that but for me, I certainly enjoy them.

i feel like the pops are really the only product that has stood the test of time, everything else had a really limited run and declined interest pretty quickly

I think rewind and popsies suffered from having too many release at once. Maybe their market research said otherwise, but I don't think there was quite the demand for these new products they expected. Sodas at least started slow, and had a longer life.

As much I wanted this line to survive, it felt like it had a limited appeal to millennials who grew up in the VHS era and the vinyls themselves different differentiate too much from the other vinyl lines sadly

that's a bummer, i wasn't in love with the packaging but did find the figures to be pretty cool/unique molds.

The idea of the rewinds was actually pretty great but it just didn't hit for some reason. Sad, when it first hit SDCC it looked like a lot of people were excited but then it fizzled out. Maybe just bad timing.

I loved the idea of the rewind figures since I grew up with VHS and they looked cool in that format. There's still a few I'll look for to get a couple I missed but unfortunately I think the line is over. Maybe one here and there would be cool just to throw in a different piece sometimes.
