I rip packs all the time but 90% of the time it’s better to buy on the secondary market.

I recently got back into cards and buying singles on eBay has been sooo much more fun/less expensive than opening packs

I agree with you. I get a rush by opening packs since it's so fun but it's way cheaper to buy singles. Some of the prices on sportscards packs/boxes are outrageous.

Agreed but it's more cost-effective to just buy all the physical NFTs than spend money on 100s of packs. I've made that mistake before...

I pull if I like the set and want to collect all of them. If there is one NFT redeemable I want then I just wait to purchase it.

When that happens it makes me wanna buy another pack . Gotta know when to stop. Of course pulling 2 grails in a premium 1 drop and pulling back to back grails from 2 standards in another doesn't help

If I just want a few redeemables I agree it's easier to get them on the secondary market. I play Faith by Limp Bizkit and click to the next card any time he says "Faith". It normally works better when friends are opening though

Honestly, it depends on how many redeemables I'm trying to get, especially the Grail, since the price can be really high. So if that's the case, I'll go for packs, but if not, I'll wait and buy only the redeemables

After opening 20 premium packs in the last drop and not finding the grail, I started thinking about pulling the redemptions vs. buying the redemptions later. I realized that pulling the redemptions makes me feel like it was meant to be, while buying makes me feel like I’m forcing it. I know it’s really just luck of the draw, but I am curious how others feel about the different options?

If I really really can’t live without a specific item I will get it from the secondary market but usually I like the aspect of trying my luck and letting the funko force bestow my blessings upon me also if it’s a license where I want to complete the whole set I’ll usually get them all

My kid is in the Pokémon phase. I feel like I’m spending more money on packs and boxes than just buying the card he wants. I know that defeats the joy of it but it helps my pocket!!!

Buying packs to specifically pull the grail is 100% NOT worth it. If you only want the grail, I'd maybe buy 1-2 packs then go straight to the marketplace or resale. It all depends on what you're looking for!

In terms of finishing royalty it's always better to just buy. I mean only really the epics get to 5-10 wax some more the rest are usually less than 1 wax. Or you can trade dupes on FB.

3-4 premium packs, anything more than that usually depends on if I get any redeemables in those early packs. If I strike out in the early packs, I'll call it a day and move on
