Re: Selling NFT cards after redemption
I keep all of mine. I guess it makes sense for the wax value, thought, to sell after redemption.

Got to catch them all
How many you catch so far?
Definitely not all of them, but if I dont go for a set, I try to grab the ones where I like the artwork or if I buy the redeemable on secondary

That’s what I do as well. Or I use my spare change to buy a cheap standard pack for future drops
For real, gotta get as many chances as I can at those redeemables haha
It’s definitely a spendy hobby. So I just try to maximize personally with packs haha. Some redeemables I should just straight out buy and not worry about ripping packs

Definitely recommend just holding on to it. Funko would probably do something with that eventually. And also it's impossible to sell after
Funnybob wrote:Serlent wrote:I keep them. What's the point of burning them? I might be missing something there?
yah curious about the burning too? i just hold onto them afterwards. It's too hard to sell them after redemption because its just a grind for the small amount of WAX or USDC.

Well there's some folks out there that just want to collect the NFT's themselves without worrying about the physical. That said, people selling after redemption are only going to get pennies on the dollar for them.

I'm lucky to get 2 cents on an epic but at one time I had so many that affer selling it all I was able to buy an epic I needed to complete a royalty at the time

Yeah hopefully, Funko does something down the road like HRO does where owning the NFTs contributes to your overall score and lets you have access to other drops and releases, basically different status levels to rank you collection would be nice

Like many others, I like to keep all the old cards in case there is a benefit down the line such as the bonus NFT release. Although from an organization standpoint it definitely stresses me out

Re: Selling NFT cards after redemption
They sell for ao little after the redemption phase, but getting rid of them I'm able to buy new packs later. I've gotten rid of 6 grails and like 50 something other legendaries a few months after the redeemable phase. I would rather have the physical than the nft. The last time I swapped old nfts for current, I opened a premium pack that had 4 legendaries so seems fine to me!

Re: Selling NFT cards after redemption
Correct. There is a value to it, maybe not much. But I do really like the artwork. I love designing by myself and I see so much cool designs in the NFT cards. I really do spend time watching the art on all the NFT's I've collected. Sometimes I buy missing cards and sometimes I get free cards from friends that want to unload them or have some spares.

Yea some people do want to collect the NFTs. Me personally I do it for the physical pops. I know everyone hates NFTs (non-funko collectors just in general) but i feel funko has to be the only one doing it right by offering actual physical rewards. That's a reason I support it but yea I just do it for the physical redeemables

Just wait for the day that Funko goes "SURPRISE! If you have all the series of ______ set, you get a super limited redeemable!"
I think it would kickstart the interest in holding the NFTs after redemption.

Yupppp I think thats what everyone is waiting for. Everyone has that collectors fear mentality, as soon as they let something go, it'll probably be valuable later on

Hopefully that is something that Funko will do further down the road as it makes sense.

I usually keep any that I complete the set for and sell off any that I am not keeping the set for. Usually I sell them off before the redemption if I am not completing the set.

Well they kinda promised that and promised NFTs if you had certain older NFTs in your collection and they did it for a bit, but it's not the same getting redeemables

It depends. I keep most but I have sold some redeemable cards after. You don't get a lot for them but some collectors still like them. But I don't sell them if they have a wave 2 announced because people just buy them to pull that bundle card scam on AH.

Some people do collect the NFTs so there is a market (maybe not the market for the redeemables, at least with the Funko NFTs, but still a market).

I take them as physical cards as well. At least in the whole opening packs and knowing not every pack will have a banger (epic or better) card in it.

That’s exactly the entire fun part about it. I purchase at least 30 packs. 15 of each. I can’t wait for the next drop.
