Yes. Monkey Assassins sweat like a mo-fo.

There's a chemical used to keep the plastic soft that leaches out on some vinyl toys, it's oily and sticky. Senor Carlos Glow sweats, too. You can wash them with Dawn and a magic sponge. It can take some effort to get it off the toy, but it can be done.

Since I've had it happen to me, I make a point of taking new vinyl toys out of their packaging and letting them breathe for a couple weeks if I can do so without destroying the box. Some still sweat, but I've noticed that it's not as much as stuff I leave in a box.

I think they used dawn soap with a magic eraser gently if I recall correctly

I had the Pop Monkey assassins and they sweat. The sweat also reacted with the plastic insert and yellowed. When I took them out, they were shiny, sticky, and dingy on one side. I was able to clean them off, but it took a long while to do it.

And that yellowing thing...watch your pops that were cast in white plastic. I've seen some of them yellow where they touch the insert, Mr. Met and Mr. Redlegs (MLB Mascots) being the most recent.

Yes, some can. Actually, vinyl toys, across ALL platforms (not just Funko), can 'sweat'.

I've read that it is a release agent that is sprayed into a mold so the figure comes out easily or it's something applied to packaging to prevent toys from getting scratched, or t it's a chemical in the plastic that leached out after the toy was made.

Whichever it is, you can usually clean it up with soapy water. I always use Dawn liquid but you do you.

Yeah, anything produced in the 2003ish and up could sweat I suppose.

Glad to see this, I've had issues with heads separating due to the heat here in New Orleans, and I thought this was a similar issue. I've got a set of Bobble Cars that arrived sealed, and they're terribly sticky, especially Boo Berry. I'm going to be very careful cleaning him because of the paint job, but at least now I know!

Ended up leaving a white smudge that looks like it dried out the vinyl. And to top that off, the stain is still there..

At this point I would go get 400 - 1200 grit sandpaper and wet sand the area to try to salvage it.
