Ron with cornrows is a definite need for me. The Kato Pop is also a need, but would’ve been happier if he wasn’t paired with the Green Hornet.

Honestly feel free to disagree with me or anything but...I'll just list a few of the big licenses people were expecting cool releases from.
Star Wars: completely forgettable... i actually don't even remember a single exclusive

DC: chrome batman, everyone's gonna cry over toy tokyo's terrible management and how unfair. how true.

Marvel: the only one that I sorta liked was Taika, otherwise.. i can't believe they're still releasing stuff from Ragnorak.. i mean it's already on netflix. Infinity war pops (with updated female characters.. . i really wanted a new scarlet witch) or movie moments or characters from the new deadpool movie would've been better.

Disney: not a particular fan of the characters they made from moana or hercules. Thought there would be more Incredibles!

Television: Olenna from GoT.. what a fan favorite. riverdale? i don't know anyone who collects those? corn rows Ron? don't get me wrong, i love parks and recs.... but it's just weird.

OVERALL: DISAPPOINTMENT. i might be alone here, but i really wanted new Doctor who and infinity war pops (not those silly chrome ones, but new characters!)

Just a couple things...

-It's Flash not Batman for the chrome item. Also Toy Tokyo does not have a booth at SDCC and all their exclusives are sold directly through the Funko booth. EDIT - also the Flash isn't even through Toy Tokyo - maybe you are thinking about the Gold Vegeta?

-Funko already mentioned that Infinity War exclusives for SDCC were not possible because they didn't have time. All these exclusives were probably made well before that movie even aired.

-There are probably a million Funko fans out there and we all have different fandoms. There are plenty of things I don't follow, but then there are some amazing items that I absolutely must have. I'm so excited for the Nickelodeon stuff, Game of Thrones, Sweeper Bot from Destiny, the Looney Tunes items, Tina on Unicorn, etc. Then I've got friends who are extremely excited about other lines and what not. You can't please everybody, but I definitely disagree with your assessment.

This year has a bunch of stuff outside of the DC Pops I usually go for. In a moment of weakness I might grab a few of the Marvel Pops. Every character is someone’s favorite, last year might have been the worst for some collectors. With more and more conventions getting shared exlcusives I can see SDCC being a lot less loaded as previous years.

I mostly agree and wasn't too blown away (Though Captain Caveman & Stinkor are awesome), but The Queen of Thorns IS a fan favorite my friend. i'd watch an entire hour long show of just her and Tywin talking back and forth to each other week after week and be damn happy about it lol

I just want to brush on this topic and not stir up anything or create anything from nothing but the Corn Rows Ron is a bit too much for me. Corn Rows and a Kimono? (don't know if that's a bath robe never seen the show) but with everything going this is a bit insensitive and the first pop I've seen that brought that thought to mind.

To each their own at the end of the day... Personally It's a tame year for my wants/needs but I see it as an opportunity to stress less about.. and really enjoy the events surrounding Fundays, The Funko Booth and people!

Everyone likes different things.

I'm beginning to think we're getting spoiled as fans because while there aren't a ton of things I want (still not a disappoint though) the designs are just amazing all around. There are several lines I don't collect but can't deny look awesome.

So not a lot of needs for myself personally but I wouldn't call the releases underwhelming at all. Plus there's still at least one more wave to come.

Stranger Things wave is amazing, I just don’t need the Dorbz is all.

My #1 SDCC Pop is Cornrows Ron Swanson, hilarious. Also need that Green Hornet 2-Pack. Passing on Riverdale.

I’m afraid to count how many I’ll be buying for SDCC this year.

Removed Books & South Park because they seem highly unlikely. Removed Rocks since Funko said on Twitter there are no music Pops for SDCC. I believe these are the categories we will see revealed tomorrow. Funko all but confirmed there will be an Ad Icon Pop reveal tomorrow.
