Re: Target exclusive Jack Jack, iron Spiderman and Elastigirl
Target releases are impossible. I've long given up. Online is the only way if you are lucky enough to catch it. How does anyone find anything at these stores?

How is it bad? If it stops someone from taking a whole box for reselling purposes, and it allows others to get the item they are looking for easily, then it’s working. This system controls the “1 per customer” rule better as well. It’s nice to avoid EBay when you can. Now if a worker is hiding a box on purpose for a certain customer or to buy it, then yes...that would be bad for collectors. Asking to see if a single item is in is not hard. I do understand if you are worried about a worker lying to you.FredKruger wrote:Mario Wario wrote:Yay! No Fire Jack-Jack or Elastigirl though. Not in yet for the store I went to.evanbeans100 wrote:This is just getting out of hand, Target.
I like it! This “system” is giving most a shot in buying the Pops they want without rushing to the store, and not worrying about someone buying the whole stock. I do realize each store does handle things very differently, but the ones I have gone to, I don’t see any problem at all.
Um, no. Employees hiding pops in the back isn't a good system for collectors. If they have a product, put it on the shelf.

My closest store sold out quick while another store further out of the way has 4 Jack Jacks but will not sell them until 6/10
I'm with everyone else, I hope they hit the sight soon. I need that Jack Jack
I got this answer as well, due to new layout in electronics area, guess they got a new planogram and going to lay everything out at once. Who knows.

We ran into the same system here in Maryland and I can say we are personally fine with it. As long as they are not hiding them for themselves or someone else. The more the merrier. This allows them to be spread around and not all bought by one person for resale. Win win Target. Thanks!

So anyone who buys a pop is a reseller? If someone wants 6 merpools, thats on target. They can still get 6 from behind the counter, should cause issue at check out, but in a free economy, you usually don't turn down sales. It doesn't allow for easy access as you have to them find an honest target. It allows the workers to resell them, hide for their friends, and screw the honest customer by lying to them.
This method leads to ebay, as much like the workers stash them in back, or behind counter. If you have the product, put it up for sale, don't hide it so a small number of dpci users can get the full stock. Makes no sense to have a "secret sale" for Reddit users in my opinion.

Well in Colorado are holding for friends and resale. Target the new Wal-Mart for employee exclusives?

Re: Target exclusive Jack Jack, iron Spiderman and Elastigirl
Every area will be different. Some good and some bad. I guess you cant win at Target. Before these recent pops the first person would buy the entire lot and you could never get even a single one. This time we all got some so I can say this time it worked for us. So I guess we are in Target growing pains as they try new ideas for distribution like Funko has been doing with the pop shop! Maybe one day a great system will come out of all of this.

Re: Target exclusive Jack Jack, iron Spiderman and Elastigirl
Went in today as soon as I could.
Iron Spider is there.
Manager said set date on 6/3.
Now I'm hearing 6/6.
Target in my area doesn't flood the shelves with pops even though they said they have more in the back but can't put them out because there's nowhere to "place" them.
They only "place" pops out on the Funko cardboard stands.
They can't sell out the back stockroom.
This is the Store Managers policy.
If they're worried about scalpers buying all the pops, why can't they limit purchases in stores like they do online.
regardless I highly doubt I will be able to purchase in store
Thank you Target](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

that is crazy. not normal policy from what I've heard
Not even the same policy as the last time I was in the store for the Panther combo. Missed out at that store because because the woman who was in front of me bought one and her INFANT child was allowed to purchase the last one.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that though that sounds more like the Story Manager issue versus store... still that sucks to hear

Its been hit and miss early mornings for me. Depending on how far the person who sets things out gets before open. I went hunting for a 10' Porg at my Target at open, nothing, but 6 hours later they found them in the back and called me. Its different everywhere but it never hurts to double check
they had a few of the Porgs where I bumped into you earlier for about a week. Just sitting. nice meeting you
Same, nice meeting you and getting to realize who you were on here

I was very easily able to get fire jack jack this morning. None on the shelf, but I asked an employee and they ran in the back and grabbed him for me. I will see if they have a couple extra tomorrow for some fellow board members. If I am able to get any more I will hook a fellow board member/members up for cost and shipping. Keep it funky and fun everyone!

Score!
I know my local Target has a lot of competition.
I saw the remnants so I know they got something. Didn't see who it was. Maybe a staffer?
My Targets are also terrible. Between flippers and employees I haven't found really anything worthwhile without camping.

Targets in Washington are going 1 per customer and the exclusives are selling out as fast as they are coming in. Hahaha.

In store has gotten tougher now that some, not all, of Target employees have started taking for themselves. I do have a few Targets that I go to and it varies. I have one Target where employees tell me that no one in their department collects and other Targets have told me that their employees are first to pick. Part of the hunt though

Likewise, for the Owen w/ Raptor Pop, as well as the Mermaid Deadpool. I had to ask to see if any were in and the items were there.
