My most wanted, unattainable pops are all con/event exclusives anymore. So for the sake of my mom's collection I would say The Mayor also. Other than the really expensive con/event exclusives for Nightmare, she's only missing The Mayor.

Plus he really is a neat Pop that should be enjoyed by more people. If he did show up again, I'd have to add him, Oogie Boogie, Jack, and Sally to my own collection. I guess I should have already. I do love that movie, heh.

It feels like you shouldn't collect based off value and exclusivity, none of the older collectors even speak about value but about how fun it is to actually collect, vaulting is part of the Funko life but hoping that another collector can't get something unless they pay vast amounts of money for seems to defeat the purpose of be a Funko collector in the first place! I wish we could all have a Mayor or a Genie or every Game of Thrones of all time!!!

Instead of unvaulting, I wish I picked up a lot of the pops that came out at Sdcc around 2011-2013. I remember just walking past the Funko Booth at Sdcc and not buying any.

If you think none of the OG Collectors care about value you are living in a dream world. If that was the case, we wouldn't see 2k valued pops that "OG Collectors" are selling. Where do you think the secondary market comes from?

Value/Exclusivity is definitly a huge part of Funko collecting. Also, me (or anyone else) feeling awesome for owning a few grails is not a sin. Now buying Funko for the main purpose of selling with no intent on collecting...that is a sin.

Grails are not the most important part, I totally agree with you. FUN is the most important part. And I'm not wacky wobbler old but I'm 2013 seasoned. Hunting, and wishing and yearning....and sharing and making friends...and sometimes complaining, I've done it all.

For me & many of us, if everyone can have it, what's the point of the hunt? Not everyone gets a trophy, and that is okay. For something to never be made again, it is OK. I wish I bought A LOT of pops, but I would NEVER wish them to re-release Bluesuit Mr.Incredible because a bunch of us Collectors want it--it devalues not just the Pop, but the long lines at SDCC to get him, the feeling of having him and keeping him in amazing shape while others just threw him away or ignored him all together.

If you think that is ok, I mean why don't we just make all Funday Exclusives into common pops so everyone can have them!? Just make 50k runs of everything! Sounds silly, huh?

Now, I don't mean any disrespect, that's not my intention, I don't know you or how long you've been collecting. I empathize with really wanting something and can't get it. I really do.

So, I will just respectfully agree to disagree.
