Funko Pop Comedians - sounds like it should already exist!
Of course there are already a lot of comedians in POP form as movie or tv show characters, but why not let them just be themselves?
edit - I did a search and only found a few mentions in other threads about this subject.
"As a comedian, I always get into situations where I’m auditioning for movies and sitcoms, you know? As a comedian, they want you to do things besides comedy. They say, ‘Alright you’re a comedian, can you write? Write us a script. Act in this sitcom.’ They want me to do $#!t that is related to comedy, but it’s not comedy, man. It’s not fair, you know? It’s as though if I was a cook, and I worked my a** off to become a really good cook, and they said ‘alright you’re a cook… can you farm?’

There could easily be a regular line and an "old-school line" but the line is blurry for a few people as to which one they would go in, here's a short list that I'm sure is missing very obvious choices. There's also a few obvious ones that I've left out for, well, obvious reasons.
Mitch Hedberg
Dave Chapelle
Gilbert Godfried
Chris Rock
Kevin Hart
Jerry Seinfeld
Lisa Lampinelli
Gabriel Iglesius FLUFFY
Patton Oswald
Marc Maron
Sara Silverman
Norm McDonald
Lewis Black
Amy Shumer
Bill Burr
Bernie Mac
Jim Gaffigan
Kat WIlliams
Wanda Sykes
Patrice O'Neal
Aziz Anasari
Demetri Martin
Old School
Richard Pryor
George Carlin
Rodney Dangerfield
Eddie Murphy
Bill Hicks
Sam Kinison
Red Foxx
Steven Wright
Andy Kaufman
Robin Williams
Steve Martin
Lenny Bruce
Joan Rivers
that's all I got in me for now, but you can't look at those lists and tell me there isn't a crazy solid foundation to make the first line out of and that you know would sell enough to justify more coming out! easy money right here Funko!

I thought about Tosh but he's so mean I didn't include him
, but if he had a POP he could have a naked chase..
there's also Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia and Larry the Cable Guy and Kathy Griffin and Whitney Cummings andandand....
Eddie Murphy could have the Delirious Red leather / Raw Purple leather Chase Variants!
In Living Colour holy mackeral I forgot all the Wayans oooops and Jim Carey, Jamie Fox, David Allen Grier, Tommy Davidson, J.Lo.
Denis Leary's a good one
Louis CK is hilarious but I didn't list on purpose, cuz, y'know.
Forgot Hannibal Burress who is hilarious, but of course also brought on the whole Bill Cosby situation going on when he kept telling people to google it.
Dave Attell should be a filthy POP.
Tenacious D deserves a spot and maybe even give Dave Grohl a POP along with Jack and Kyle.
which brings up all all the HBO people I forgot - Bob Odenkirk, David Cross, Garry Shandling, Bill Maher, JB Smoove, etcetc

I would buy George Carlin day 1. I saw one of his stand up routines at a shockingly young age. I was lucky enough to see him live before he died, he was amazing

maybe so LE releases like the Directors? although some of these would have to be way bigger releases then 200 or 500 for sure..
I wouldn't be mad at a line of Funko-Shop exclusives, well as long as they're unannounced or unexpected I guess (so sad that I have to add that these days - "as long as bots can't buy up everything")

This would be a difficult line. They’d definitely have to be specific and choose wisely as not all comedian pops might sell as much as others.

Not to mention dealing with the estates for the comedians who are deceased. I can't see it being a huge thing but then again people went crazy for directors pops

What a great list. What stood out the most for me are. Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, and Robin Williams. Some other great ones would be Larry the Cable Guy, Tim Allen, Seinfeld, and Bob Sagget.

That is a great list! I'm surprised Funko doesn't do more celebrities - it'd be nice if we could get some classic comedians as Pops.
