Hmmm, interesting. Never had that issue before so thought they'd have to be scanned actually at the store for it to show up as in stock.
Checked three stores today. First one had unloaded the truck, but "too many pallets" were in the way, and they wouldn't get one out of the back.
Second store, the resident employee flipper said they never received them. Yeah right.
Third store, the employee checked his scanner, and actually showed me they had zero on hand but some were on the way due on the next truck.
All three showed in stock on Brickseek. So I think in this case, once it's left the warehouse, it's part of the store stock, even if it's not there yet.
I went back to the first store this evening, and two really helpful employees got me one from the back. They wouldn't put the stock on the floor; said it was due to set on the fifteenth. But they sold me and one other customer one each.
Congrats! One of the employees must have been a higher up if he could bypass the system street date.
A set date and a street date are two different things. A set date simply means that's the scheduled day to redo the end of an aisle display or a section of an aisle. They literally "set" that section up. So they aren't breaking any date when they sell before a set date. Just means they'll have less product they have to fit on the shelf when that date arrives.
A street date is a hard date which is not supposed to be broken. That's when the manufacturer can fine them for breaking that date.
Was super excited when I got mine in hand. Even better than I expected - and I had pretty high expectations since Porgs are my favorite!
