Yeah I know the ones from Ikea but I was looking for something a little cheaper and simpler that people might have used. I was thinking of maybe building my own as well...

We use these from Ikea:
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30178704/
Along with these brackets:
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80142067/
Pair those with homemade foam board risers and you can get about 25-27 OOB Pops per shelf, depending on the size of their heads.
There's photos of our full display somewhere in this thread, but for an idea of the finished look:

Another cheap option is to go to a home improvement store, buy 1x4 boards in 8 foot lengths, paint and hang with some L brackets, for this look:

Yeah the shelves I used are not cheap. They're about $20 for each one on ebay or Amazon and they're called clear 3 step acrylic risers.

For those of you with the acrylic display cases, does the dirt get in them? I live in a desert area, so that stuff gets everywhere.

I got some display units from Display Geek today and man, do I love how they look and make my collection look so much nicer. They are perfect for storing the box behind you OOB Pops! You can also put them in there in box, but what's the fun in that??

I’m proud of these new shelves I made thanks to the advice of some board members:

They came out really good. I'm horrible with installing stuff. Unless it is pre-made, my stuff just falls apart.

Re: Your display, the Funko way!
I was just curious, do you display in box or out? I like displaying them out of box, but then I have no storage space for the boxes. I was curious of what work arounds you have found for storage or storing in box? As of now, part of my collection is in the baseball cases from Michaels and the other is stacked on top in boxes. I have run out of room for the boxes, so in they stay. I was also looking at clear protectors and there are some may to choose from and was wondering if anyone had good success with a brand they like? Also if this is the wrong place for this question please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I put the boxes under my platform bed. They stay dust free and out of the way. They actually fit in perfect rows too. It's like the bed was built to house funko boxes. Lol
