First Topic for me! =D Do you remember your first pop?!

Hey guys just starting my first Topic here, I’m really new to the site!

If you would like to list your story on your first pop, i would love to read them! I’ll go first!

My first time ever buying a pop was at Comic Con 2016! Day 1, I was walking through a booth (can’t remember the name) and my first time seeing a rick and Morty pop. It was the first pop they ever made for Rick and Morty and it was pretty freaking cool! i had to buy these! I told my friends what i found they said hey why you don’t bring them to the signing for Rick and Morty! I was like! Holy smokes! thats a great idea. I remember camping out for it and making it my first priority to get that wrist band.

That morning, I rushed over and started the line for the signing and i saw what other people had for the cast to sign. Most of them were Funko pops others just had the free post card they handed out. I was thinking what I can do to make my pop different from everyone who would just have them sign the Funko box. So i quickly opened my first pop and just had Justin Roiland the voice of Rick and Morty , sign my Morty pop! He was like wow! Normally i sign the box but this is different! He wrote "i like turds" on Morty shirt on the front and on the back he signed his initials!

My first pop also became my most precious Rick and Morty collectible thanks to Funko!!

I hope i can collect all the Rick and Morty pops! Maybe even start getting into protos! :p

My first pops were Deadpool, and Finn and Jake from Adventure Time. I got them all at once at Hot Topic.

The very first Pop I purchased was Batman. I brought it home to surprise my boyfriend and he immediately asked if we could go out and buy more...I would have so much more money right now if I had said no that day lol

I believe my very first pop was a blood splattered Hannibal for SDCC a few years back. Either that or an Arya pop my friend gave me as a gift for my birthday!

I don’t remember my first pop I got. But I do remember back in 2011 at Sdcc passing by the Funko Booth and asking myself what are Funkos, they look like mighty Muggs. Now I think back and should of bought a couple instead of going after those batman and green lantern LEGO mini figures.

My first pop was Rocket Raccoon in early 2016, I was just browsing at a GameStop. I prior had never liked the look of Pops but I was still on the Gotg hype and noticed a bunch of Pops for the movie. I liked Rocket so much I decided what the heck I'll grab one of these figures, and throw it with my random memorabilia/collectible things I've accumulated over the years. Even thought to myself I guess some of the marvel Pops would be cool to have, I might grace a few of my favorite characters...and boom by the end of the year I was at 100ish Pops. And now I'm over 300. Damn you Rocket look what you did?!? Lol but yea my addiction is due to a common Rocket Raccoon haha

My first pop was from SDCC 2010. I was walking the floor with my daughter and we saw the funko booth (which is where Tokidoki is now). We stopped because we saw the 9” Maleficent there and she is both of our favorite Disney Villian. She was metallic and beautiful. It was the only thing we bought that day aside from food. When I decided to take a break from collecting, she was the only I kept. I have yet to take her out of the box. She will always be my number 1.

My first pop was Joker from a loot create subscription box. My now wife, girlfriend at the time, got me the box as a christmas gift. After I got that one, I didn't start collecting right away. Then I went to my first comic con in 2015, and my collecting habit started growing rapidly from there. She semi regrets it now, but is very supportive as long as I keep my spending under control.

My first Pop was the Iron Man Mark 43 from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Got it at Barnes and Noble. That's who started the obsession!

I first fell in love with Pops by buying them for a friend. I got him the whole OG Star Trek set, and I remember thinking how nice they looked and how much joy they brought him. My birthday was a few weeks later, and I got the original Jack Sparrow as a gift, and that really awakened the beast in me. lol

. I went out and bought myself the armored Tyrion and Daenerys variant with some birthday money, and the rest is history!

Looking back now, and remembering how many of the now super rare/expensive Pops I saw on an almost daily basis and didn't get, I'm kicking myself!

My first pop was a gift from one of my friends. She got me Daryl from series one of the walking dead. I was like what the heck is this, but it's cute so I went online and looked up Funko and that's all it took. Was like omg look at all these cool figures of stuff I like and aww they are so cute I'll just buy a few more from Walking Dead and boy was I wrong lol

. Marvel was my next big step and now I'm at over 1k pops and countless minis and dorbz. At first my partner hated em because the money spent and then they saw the rainbow batmans and that was it I was able to get more and more since I roped her in too lol

Mine was 2013 or 2014(not 100%sure of the year) at wondercon out in Anaheim, it was the last day and a booth was just trying to get rid of what they had to not have to ship back and had a 3 pops for 10 buck sale... I got Jafar, Bell, and Beast... all three for 10 bucks.... and the rest is history.
