Domed Pops
Just curious what people think about the Domed Pops like the HT R2D2, BB8, Enchanted Rose and now the BL Experiment 626.
They look cool and I’ve bought them all but they take up a lot of shelf space.

I wasn't a fan of them until the 626 one, so I don't own any, I may pick up 626 though.

Re: Domed Pops
LOL-I read it as doomed Pops at first! Agree with your assessment. Very cool, but take up a lot of room (the R2D2 ones are currently taking up a lot of room at my local Hot Topic). I have only bought BB-8 because we collect him. I like the Beauty and the Beast one, but don't know where I would put it, except in a box.

The Rose was my first domed pop, and I wasn't sure about it until I saw it in person and I'm cool with them. I'll be getting the 626 one as well...cause Disney.

Re: Domed Pops
Not a fan personally. I bought bb8, but regret it so I stayed away from r2d2. I didn't feel like the rose was even a pop and had non interest anyway. Experiment 626 is actually really cool, but I'm not enough of a stitch fan to get it.

Re: Domed Pops
I have BB-8 and R2, but it was more about wanting the actual pop, not the dome. I do plan on getting Stitch, since that was a good moment in the movie.

I am not a big fan of them. They take up so much space, and I don't get the concept of it being in a dome. I just am not a fan of pops in a dome

So far, 626 seems to be the most creative one to me. The rest I don't like.

Re: Domed Pops
Love the domed Pops. I don't like how much space they take up, they could've made them a little smaller. But the character choices have pulled me in. Bought BB-8 and the Rose the day they released, and will pick up Experiment 626. Kind of liked R2, but couldn't justify the shelf space.

If you're OOB you can just take them out of the dome.

LIKE I want to love it but man, that goofy clear cone! I'm still going to get one and see if I can remove the cone and use clear epoxy to attach him inside the dome.and now the BL Experiment 626

I think they look neat and it's a cool idea, but haven't fully been properly executed. I think the rose is goofy, but Stitch looks neat. I'm trying not to get invested in them because they're just too big.

Glad I'm not the only one who read the title and thought it said doomed
As for the domed Pops I'm not a fan, but it makes me chuckle for in box collectors since the Pop technically has 2 boxes protecting the figure

Re: Domed Pops
I don't like them in general, but 626 under a dome is straight from the movie, so I like this one. (I know the Enchanted Rose was straight from the movies as well, but it was just weirdly executed.)

I am ok with the Beauty/Beast and 626 since they make sense.
But I probably won't buy because of the size.

I’d really like the 626 one, overall I think they are pretty cool. I’ll admit I’ve never done the boxed lunch exclusives, is there something you have to do or just buy it from their site? Thanks for the info

I personally think most are a bit silly. The only one that makes sense to me right now is the BATB Rose, since it's actually in a dome in the movie. The rest are over priced displays....
Now, with that being said... if they released something that I had a stronger interest in, I'd probably get it to be complete

Re: Domed Pops
The Stitch one definitely looks the coolest in my opinion. I think they're all too big for me to collect though. If I had a bigger place, it would look really nice to have a whole shelf dedicated to them.
And I was half wondering if HT/BL bought a million of those clear domes on discount or something and that's why they keep turning out more items in domes

It was a dome in Lilo & Stitch as well:

Re: Domed Pops
I like the package design on the 626 more than the other domes....seems it might take up less space, but don't know until I see and looks like it is less likely to be damaged from a giant viewing plastic as the others. I do like the sculpts and placement right out of the movie rather than a stagnant stitch situated in the middle of the dome

Yeah, You so right about the amount of space. That's why I ended up not buying them. But the rose is my favorite so far..

Re: Domed Pops
the only one I've picked up was the Rose, though I wish it was smaller or could light up. Right now I don't have it anywhere near my Beauty and the Beast Pops because it is bigger that the winter Beast. I have a friend that might want the 626 one though

626 is the only one I'm getting. I've seen these pops at Hot Topic where they are collecting dust... But the Box Lunch exclusive 626 has my name all over it.

I got the R2 for Christmas. It's pretty sweet but does take up a lot of space so I'm a little on the fence for BB8. Definitely not getting the other 2. They don't fit my collection.

I bought the rose one because I like the Disney line but I think that’s the end unless they do something amazing and better executed. I want to like 626 but it’s just not there yet for me

So far I've only got the BATB rose since I have to be 100% complete for that theme...
I'm not sure that I like the way it's executed though.
626 looks cute, but there's no BL near me
