I bought a light blue batman figure at sdcc that was in a clamshell and not a box. That was probably around 2010, I ended up having to sell him unfortunately

Edit: Maybe he was the first exclusive? I think I got that confused at one point and regular batman was the first.

Crazy looking back on this and seeing your reaction to a Pop selling for this much - imagine if the same Pop had been sold for $300 nowadays, everyone would be all over it!

I picked up three of those four Pops at a comic con: Original release Batman, Metallic Batman, and Metallic Batgirl. I passed on GL as I don't collect the character. Never thought they would be worth anything, just liked the fun design.

Cut to a few years later, and I have over 200 Batman-related Pops. But I'm an opener. Part of the reason for that is that I pried open those clam shells as soon as I bought them.

Damnnnn I wish I had the funko force clam shell ones

none of us wanted them. Steve at Gemini had to discount them to $25 shipped each to get them to move. Brian reboxed many into regular boxes so they would sell. We all hated the Funko Force 2.0 Clamshell back then, . My how times have changed.
