I'm thinking that I'll probably OOB this one, since I don't love the quality of the dome. It'd be nice to have the BB-8 / R2-D2 / Boxlunch BB-9E family as a metallic OOB set though!

It looks neat, but the BB8's box was so big it's hard to display or store it. Maybe if I find one I'll grab it, but I won't be lining up on Friday for it.

That would be a more appropriate use for the dome part.

My bb-8 online order arrived in the store with a broken off antenna last year and I returned it on the spot. I think I'm gonna pass on this one.

I just don't see the hype in this stuff. The gold bb8 last year did not even maintain MSRP at all. You can easily get it for $15-20 online now. Of all things to wait in line for...this isn't it to me.
