Re: Pop! 8-bit
Freddy & Jason look quite good as 8-bit. I love TMNT, but they don't seem to catch me the same way.

I think that's why I'm still seeing Batman and Shredder in GameStop shelves, and why people were downright confused by the 8-bit Stranger Things Pops. 8-Bit is a style that tackles a very niche nostalgia, and I think these NES Horror variants will help prove that.
And TMNT doesn't hit that nostalgia for people too? I guarantee more people remember playing the original TMNT for NES and the TMNT arcade game than people who played Friday the 13th. Sure both the horror ones look great, but saying TMNT doesn't fit the 8-bit mold is a little silly IMO.
But I definitely agree that they need to come out with some very specific ones and I love the list you put together. Sorry if I seemed defensive about the TMNT stuff for obvious reasons

Oh don't get me wrong, I think the Turtles molds are awesome and 100% fill that nostalgia! Turtles in Time was my jam, man

I just used the Freddy and Jason colorways as an example of what Funko should do more of to really push this line. Target specific colors and characters from specific moments in specific games, you know?
I think I'm going to go home and play Turtles in Time tonight
Yeah I definitely see what you mean with the specific moments aspect. Hopefully this is a good starting point like you said, but at the same time I hope they don't make too many or my Detolfs won't be able to handle all the weight! Shredder is the heaviest Pop I own by far and he's probably heavier than some 6" ones

I like Batman but I'm not used to the look of the 8bit. I will probably get it for my son since he collects Batman pops. I do like the TMNT ones though. They look cool.

The alien is a little odd looking, but I'm a huge alien fan so it's a no brainer that I'll get him.

If they can get Mario , these 8 bits will really take off!
I for one would love 8 bit Community pops to match a t-shirt I love. But that's even more unlikely than Mario probably.

Still not sure how to feel about the 8-bit line. I did pick up the Batman one. I might pick up the Stranger Things 8 bit because my wife is into the Netflix show.

Didn’t really like the look of these until I saw them in person. The 3D effect helps make them. Got Batman and will see how the turtles look in person before making a decision.

I'm sure there will be tons of 8-bit. I'm just upset we'll never see any nintendo ones, maybe Sega or Konami will be nice. Throw in an outrun car or altered beast.

Got Batman and Shredder and will most likely try for the Stranger Things exclusives but since they're at target, that will be impossible to do.

Nice dude!
I saw them the other day, they look awesome and fit perfectly into my turtles arcade nostalgia. I grabbed shredder but don’t think I’ll see the footsoldiers anytime for a reasonable price.
Have you seen the sdcc be a turtles set from 2016. Another cool turtle piece.

Yeah. I wasn't a fan of them until I saw Batman in person. I ended up getting him because he looks surprisingly cool. Now I'm going to get the horror ones for sure.

I'm loving the 8Bit line so far. Reminds me of the early days of Pop, too! Simple designs right now, but as they do more and get better, they will probably have more complicated designs in the future!
