I ordered Wingnut this morning! I really like them! I picked up the small Tumblebee plush at HQ ... regretting not getting Butterhorn too. Damn my bad decisions!!

They've got Chester and Picklez on the boxes for the next releases. I don't know if they'll do more than 6 monsters. But I would probably buy them all. I love the monster line!

I'd really like to see a 6 inch or maybe even a ride monster like Catbus. I think those would be amazing!

I'm a little put off by it tbh, but I think it fits as far as this line goes! Definitely a suitable addition to Wetmore!

Can't wait to order Bugsy on Friday, and then I assume we'll get the next two over the next course of the next 3 months, prior to the end of the year.
I hope that during the 12 days of Christmas announcements that we'll get an announcement that a second wave is coming in 2018.

Color variants(NOT chases) would be cool, but I'd much prefer they just made all new monsters for this line, no chases, no color variants, and I wouldn't buy flocked, so no issue there, haha.

I'll support Funko original characters as much as I can afford, which is why I'm also hoping for new monsters and more spastiks made into pops soon!

I think they're great, and a rare case of Funko actually doing some *original* non-licensed characters, which I think is brilliant.

These Monsters seem right up the alley of what a lot of Pop fans seem to like, so I'm curious why some segment of collectors seem almost *annoyed* by them. I guess if something isn't a Chase or Limited Edition, some segment of collectors have no interest.

I will definitely concede that flocked versions of these particular Pops make more sense than some of the other random flocked variants I've seen. Flocked versions *would* be cool.

But I still generally view variants as less interesting, and milking the line dry. I understand; it's a way for Funko to monetize the cost put into creating molds and whatnot by reusing the same molds again.

I just think the best thing about the Monsters line is that they're original and creative and not just another licensed IP. Once they start doing variants of the same molds, then the line loses some of that unique quality and slows the flow of actual brand-new characters.

It really bothers me that people have such a strong hatred for these guys. Especially since when I was at the Funko HQ's opening, my sister asked one of the artists to make a brand new pop monster, and it completely made both of their days. At the end of the day, the artists of Funko are still artists, and sometimes they just want to flow out some of their creative juices, and if they're able to make use of them and convert their design into a vinyl figure, it's really just a cherry on the cake.

I agree about a kind of darker wave. Given how popular horror pops are, I think scary monsters would be really successful. But I would be happy with more kid friendly versions as well. If they expanded to rides (Like a Catbus type), keychains, or pint size heroes, I would buy them all.
