I got mine in a couple of days ago. Awesome little surprise. Disappointed that the box was really messed up, but I can't complain - it was a free exclusive. Awesome to display OOB anyway. Thanks Funko!

So is it a fool's hope now that they have all not been sent out yet? Kind of disheartening seeing so much for sale when its a gift....oh well. Congrats to everyone that did get one. Here's to hoping I still have a chance of one magically showing up in the mailbox

The issue is that if Funko does it again the whole universe will vote and Funko can't just lie and say there will be no thank you gift and then send one out. I do think that Funko will be nominated again and I do think they will win again, but I think that the Thank You gift will be a one time thing. Maybe they could do something where everybody who votes gets 50% off of the Funko Shop for 2 weeks or a gift card or something like that, but I don't think they will do a physical product again.

Totally agree...and it should be a one time thing...otherwise people are just voting for the sake of getting something in return. We should vote because we feel they deserve to win, not because we expect something in return. And if they constantly were to give something out, I would feel the win is just tainted and like then an argument could be made that they bought their votes. Its a cool one time thing as a way of saying thanks. I wish I could have gotten, but I'm fine with not and still would have voted for them if I knew I wasn't getting anything if I had to do it all over again....and better believe I will vote for them again next year

I don't know how I feel about people selling it. Maybe I'm getting a little salty. Funko gave these out for free to some of it's fans. At best I totally get it if you don't collect Freddy's and want to pass it along or trade it to someone who likes it for something you collect. But filling out the form, basically asking Funko for one just to try and take the opportunity to dump it and make a few bucks while at the same time someone looking forward to adding it to their collection now won't get that Freddy......it just feels wrong to me. I know many clearly don't agree however.....

There were a lot of stories of people not getting an email and having one show up at their door. And I think Irma may have pushed a lot of shipping dates back. So I don't think it'd be foolish to still have a little hope of receiving one :-)

Plenty of people are posting on Facebook about how they got one and they didn't even vote. And there are a lot of people that did vote that didn't get one (me included). So in the end it was given out as a gift to celebrate that they had won rather than to reward the people that actually voted.

Right there with you Tres. Not only did I vote, but so did my wife, but wanting to make sure we abided by the rules (only one per household) I was the only one that responded and then got aced out by the ones who didn't even vote. Oh well, I understand this thing went south because of the inability to track those of us that actually voted so it is what it is. I can't complain because Funko has been great to us. The Grand Opening was beautiful and so was Fundays.

I know. Worded my comment badly. Just unfortunate that the whole thing became so legalistic and political.
Sounds like so many of what was originally conceived to be a gift are ending up on ebay like hot cakes made to order (I haven't bothered to check myself); it just happens to be a little diappointing for me personally. Remind me never to give a gift to someone who sells or gives it away right away! Still, we all knew this end result was was likely to happen. The pot stirrers got just what they wanted--disruption. We all knew what the end result was likely to be. This is just how the world works.

This is exactly what I feared. That's why even though it looks like I'm getting one (and I did vote), I was never a fan of this method of distribution. You can't please everyone and there was no clean way to do this, but the flooding of ebay with these really rubs me the wrong way. While I do appreciate the gesture, part of me would have preferred they do nothing rather than feed flippers. This does feed the hype machine though.

It would have to get pretty cheap first. It gripes me to think I might be lining the pockets of some flipper that could care less about Funko or voting for them and just took advantage of the situation. I'd just rather go without, even though I love Freddys and love all glowie Pops.
