Totally agree, but let's hope that day is far, far away

I cold never see them vaulting the Tardis because it applies to every single Doctor, but if they did, it would definitely skyrocket in value, because who doesn't want a Tardis to go with their Doctors.

We have two of them ourselves.

You can look at Hot Wheels or collectible models and see cheap toys going for a few hundred bucks, but it took decades and extreme rarity for those toys to get to those levels. Pops did it in a couple of years. It is a classic bubble scenario, and the bubble WILL burst. Maybe people will run out of space and quit collecting, or maybe the next hot thing will come along and they will lose interest in Pops. But it is inevitable, and my guess is it will happen in the next couple of years.
So I'm not looking for any prices to spike up over the next couple of years, I think instead there will be a huge plunge in a lot of these prices. I think people will still collect them, but there just won't be as many people as there are now, because a lot of people that collect them now are doing so because they think it's some kind of retirement fund. Once the value drops a lot of those people will bail and will be selling their entire collections, and that will drive the falling prices even further down.
I think Funko knows this is going to happen which is why they are working so hard to expand their offerings into so many other directions. The loss in value and interest in Wobblers certainly didn't slow them down, and I doubt the demise of Pops will either.

I agree with you on that. Also, people aren't even willing to sell theirs which makes it harder. I'm still on the hunt for a decent priced Stroomtrooper Conan!
I hear that, I know it's the norm now but I'm having a hard time bringing myself to pay 100+ for Flash Conan even though I'll eventually have to in order to complete my Flash collection.

I know right! If I didn't think the Storm Trooper Conan was so cool, I wouldn't budge
The most I'd be willing to pay is $100 and it's only because I want it so bad!

I had 0 Conans before SDCC this year and now have 9.Got Flash and White Walker at his show but had to pay for the other 7. Most were $80-110 except for Ghostbuster (less) and #1 Conan (more, but under PPG at least).

I'm with everyone here! Especially with limited releases once during a short time frame each year. Plus it's Conan!who doesn't love Conan?!! Lol

There are no signs of that happening and plenty of signs of an increase in popularity over the next 2 years.

DAMN!!! I wasn't too into the Conan pops until i saw the Storm Trooper one. My GF loves him so I'd figure we could compromise and get the storm trooper

Yeah, I started off only wanting the Stormtrooper and Jedi ones to go with my Star Wars collection. Was really hoping to get Jedi while at his show this year, but wound up with Flash. Then was going to trade/sell it to get Jedi, but wound up getting it autographed by Conan and then got bit by the Conan bug.

It's not a doomsday prophecy, it happens to every single fandom at some point. The market will collapse and people will go elsewhere once the "next bit thing" comes along.

conan pops best of both worlds its tied to mainstream genre on a movie and host thats well known and like u said u caught the bug and folks that dont collect and go to the show get introduced and folks will want them on the same page

How is it not when your making a statement with no evidence what so ever.
Why in 2 years will funko pop collecting collapse? What evidence have you got?

I've seen that happen with many of the Game of Thrones pop, especially tonight, I imagine that others in the line will increase as well.

I would use the beanie babies craze as an example. Too many people were investing for financial gain rather than personal satisfaction. As soon as a good majority of Pop! collectors are purchasing them to make a quick buck then the whole house of cards will fome falling down. Production rates will be higher to accommodate the mass purchasing of these investors, meaning that there is too much supply with too little command. People will sell for cheap prices, and investors wanting to get what they can while they're still worth a bit will begin to sell sell sell to jump off a sinking ship. This will drive prices down and will lead to Pops becoming essentially worthless.

I didn't say a thing about 2 years, you did. I just said that it will collapse because EVERYTHING collapses. Read what's written, not what you wish was written.

Mr. Toad kinda goes with my picks for Tomorrow's grails... Disney Park Pops! I know you could argue that it's a movie reference first but there is also a ride! And the Disney Parks is one of my favorite lines!
I was going to pick the Abominable Snowman but he's at $60 on PPG now.. I think all of the Disney Park related pops will be up there over time. Disneyland and Disney World are so popular and well known and people of all ages carry memories and nostalgia with these places.
Every Disney Parks related Pop is a MUST HAVE for me and I'm sure that goes for a lot of other Disney Fans. Hopefully prices don't climb toooo fast as I don't have all of the pieces released so far yet
All parks pops will be hard to get and limited runs, so expect the value to increase steadily. However when they do a flocked version etc as a con exclusive or a new park exclusive, the old version will price stagger
