Star Wars Mystery Minis: Toy Fair Reveal!

Agree that the HT ratios have got to be a typo... The next 6 pulled out of the same HT case that I got my four out of were: Leia, Han, Tarkin, Ponda Baba, Chewie and a Jawa, so all commons... Both Leia figures are picked, the dupe of the 1/8 Chewie as well, so going by a previous post, that takes up the second 1/24 slot? (bummer) and given that I originally picked the 1/24 Snaggletooth (boo!) and the 1/36 Tie Pilot, that means that the last two are C3PO and the Stormie... bah... well, that saves me AU$20 to satisfy my curiosity

Just bought a full case from GameStop and got 2 Chewies and no exclusives so I can confirm that it's possible. Classic BS. I'm done with Minis. I also got the Spider-Man case from Target that had Silk but no Target exclusives. If Funko can't make sure that exclusive cases actually have a single exclusive then I'm done wasting my money. Bought 2 more from GS with a fresh case today. Pulled a Stormtrooper Han and a regular Stormtrooper (it helped knowing the layout from splitting the case with my brother yesterday). So far I have:

Okay, I haven't seen a list put together of all stores and their exclusives (and ratios), so I put this together. Hopefully it helps some of you.

That's a useful chart but I would list Obi-Wan as a 1/36 from Hot Topic. The ratios simply don't work with him at 1/6 and do work with him at 1/36, and there is ample evidence online already of people not finding him in HT cases.

My guess for the Walmart case is: Ghost Obi 1/72; Tusken 1/36; Chewbacca 1/24. I really hope the Vader is 1/12 and the Hammerhead is 1/72 in that case, although that would render the common case absolutely pointless.

You might be right about Obi-Wan, I can update the chart with an asterisk or something (since these are the stated ratios, which it's hard to verify if there are other exceptions) as well as once we find out about Walmart. It's interesting that Obi-Wan is only selling for about $7 on ebay with him being more limited. Yes, he's 1/12 in a non-exclusive case, but 1/36 for the exclusive stores (and Walmart won't be carrying that version, which makes him a bit more limited as well). Of course, none of them are selling for that much yet, outside of the store exclusives.

Do you recall where you pulled Stormtrooper Luke and the Shadow Trooper? I'm guessing Han was top back left because that's where my brother and I got him. My guess for the other 2 is bottom middle (left/right)?

I saw a HT layout that someone tried but didn't have much luck with. I've tried 2 cases at GS and their layout seems consistent (except for variations with exclusives and rarities of course).

Ah I said I wouldn't give in, but the chibi Stormtrooper and Shadow Stormtroopers were too hard to resist. Just ordered them, glad they are common! I want the TIE Pilot though, but probably won't get him. Does the bobble shake a lot? I'm not a fan of bobble heads, but I like the style they went with.

Oh yeah, and I remember what I was about to say: I'd like to see the Scarif Stormtroopers and Hovertank Pilots in this style, and any of the other troopers. I just like the Empire troopers. I could see Funko making a set for every movie.

I've seen those little stickers sometimes on the inside of the case "back wall" area (like on the Spider-Man minis). But I haven't seen any from this line like that.

The letters I saw on the Hot Topic assortments were actually small circular stickers on top of the brown shipping cartons. I saw a few more examples of these from people on Instagram as well so I'm assuming rather than printing them directly on they are simply doing little stickers now.

Here is my best guess on the case configurations based on what I've seen so far online, and my own GameStop purchases. The GameStop ones are all confirmed except for one possible swap, but I don't think it likely. The HT one I've only seen a few cases and a couple partial case results out there, but they all have been pure 1 for 1 figure swaps with the GameStop configurations, just like it was with the Spiderman Classics. I believe all 4 will have the same configurations with 1-1 figure swaps between them.

Yeah, layouts will be worthless. None of the cases we've came across have had the same figures, let alone a set layout.

There have been a couple recent sets with multiple different assortments where layouts worked.

I'm a Star Wars fan and these will be my first real jump into mystery minis. Are you guys saying that cases have a certain layout where each figure normally is? How do we find these? I'm trying to get as few doubles as possible.

Same here ... We started collecting Pops with Star Wars and have grown exponentially since then. This is also our first dive into Minis and it's been crazy!

The Obi-Wan Ratio on the HT box has to be a misprint ... I'm thinking they are missing the "3" in "36" and only showed the "6". Because I've opened 2 cases and got 0 of Obi-Wan ... and the other photos I've seen from friends also had 0 Obi-Wan.

I'm done buying these in the wild. I'll go to ebay if need be. I've bought a total of 17 and have 7 duplicates. I'd almost do better paying 2x on ebay (and most are available for 1x right now).

I've purchased 2 cases thus far (1 from HT and one from GS)
From the standards, I have been fortunate to get a Hammerhead in each case.
As for exclusives, I got the 1/24 in Han Solo from GS and the 1/24 Greedo from HT

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the haul thus far. It'll keep me going to build the set.
