A remake of the Shining? Sorry but why mess with a classic? It would be like remaking Hitchcock's The Birds, how do you top perfection.

By making a better adaptation. Ad it is, The Shining is a masterpiece, but an awful awful adaptation. In that respect I prefer the tv miniseries.

As for an actual remake, this is the first I've heard of one.

I guess you mean a "more accurate" adaptation rather than a "better" adaptation? Because surely you don't have that much faith in Hollywood these days ;-)

The movie didn't follow the book exactly, but the movie and book are both brilliant in their own right.

I can't find a REGULAR Target exclusive(except that one time with Weapon X), let alone a chase...it simply will never happen.

Yeah that's true! Sometimes remake messes up the Classic. I heard that they chnaged the ending too

I once came across into a few exclusive but all boxes were beat up

already been remade once before, Stanley Kubrick version and then a version closer to the book...
so a 2nd remake?

These are really cool, but not something I need to collect. Ive gotten really lucky that none of these store exclusive chases are ones I need. Although I was able to get the hot topic maleficent and joker chases. This will never see the shelf where I live lol

Well someone tweeted it, but most likely it wasn't Kubrick as he died last century

As for the new remake, we shall see. Kubrick's is definitely a classic, but I also totally get why King wasn't happy with that version. I think he feels protective of Jack Torrance as a character because of his own substance abuse problems. The themes of the book were lost in the movie and Jack ended up a very different character.
