Didn't go to the con, but ended up ordering leia and r2d2 on the gamestop site and I'm gonna pick up the Snoke on fleabay. Unfortunately I was really trying for the sike o shriner, but no avail. I might pick him up in the future if prices go down some.

Mine was sort of a bust this year. Luckily I have some wonderful friends. Congrats to everyone that got the pieces that they wanted!

I was able to get into the Funko booth towards the end of preview night and picked up whatever they had left to helps some friends out. I got my Mr. Clarke & Megazord for myself, but the other 6 I picked up were for friends, including Mr. Toad, which they oddly had a lot of left over.

After preview night, I hopped in line for Thursday's Everything-Else line, in hopes that we could secure a spot in the Funko booth. I had my buddies who were all first-time SDCC attendees join me. All of us were trying for the Funko booth, but low-and-behold, by the time we get to the end of the line which was waaaay down the waterfront, the booth sold out.

We were in a good position too. First row of the second chute. There was no way, all those people were in line ahead of us. Found out that the General Admission line that was along the waterfront snuck into the Funko line due to poor line control. It was a sad experience for my first-time buddies. We were all able to help pick up some shared exclusives online and at Horton Plaza, at least.

None of them wanted to attempt the line for Friday, but I did. Same exact thing happened again. I felt sorry for the father and son I lined up with over night. They flew in all the way from Australia in hopes to get into the Funko booth.

That morning I heard something that really ticked me off. As a consolation prize, I hopped into the WB line. A guy was telling a group in front of me that they just needed to wait in the overflow area, and ask a volunteer which line is for what vendor and hop in. He apparently got there at 7:20 and just got in line. I would have snitched on him, but didn't have evidence to do it. I felt bad for this family from Mexico City that was behind me. It was their first time at SDCC and they were dejected once they heard the autograph session they wanted ran out.

Did not want to attempt the line Satuday, because I knew it would be a flop. I was right. Saw the pictures of chaos via Twitter.

I tried for Sunday, but the same exact thing happened. Tried to talk to Mark, one of the booth managers, but of course there was nothing he can do. Sucks because I really wanted to help those first-timers get what they wanted, like I was able to help folks the previous year.

It unfair for those who follow the correct procedures and get screwed over by cheaters. I didn't even want to attempt the Pop-up shop because I heard from a buddy who was waiting inline Tuesday afternoon that someone that secured a spot around 100, ended up being 160 by early Thursday morning.

I truly hope something can be done to fix these line procedures. I know it's not all on Funko, for the SDCC procedures, but something could have been done for the pop-up shop.

I had an amazing SDCC last year and got almost everything I wanted then, so I guess I was due for some bad luck this year. The fact that I had significantly fewer wants this year had an impact, though. There were some things I looked for at the mall, but a couple were already sold out and another couple had quality control issues that turned me off. I had similar issues online. The Night King was sold out before I knew it would even be sold online, and after spending a day and a half refreshing Walmart for the Tank Trooper, it went up with a shipping price that pushed it over my $20 personally set limit, so I decided to skip it. It was my top want from SDCC, but not a must-have, and not worth the price to me. I could have gone ship-to-store, but I knew that would almost guarantee a damaged box. Wasn't worth the risk.

I hope NYCC is better. It can't be as bad as SDCC was.

That's interesting to hear. My experience with ship to store has been much better than ship to home. I actually had to return my troopers (and ordered another ship to store) because they were packaged so poorly they were all beat up. If they actually replace them and ship them back out (and they ship them better this time) I'll let you know. I should be able to get it shipped to you (in a sturdy box with bubble wrap) for under your $20 limit :)

That would be very nice of you, thanks. :) If it doesn't work out, no worries. It would be nice to have one, but it's not a need.

This year was the first year I did not hunt due to work. However, with the help of some Funatics, I was able to get some of the pieces on my want list. Still missing a few but some is better than none. Funatics are the best!

Based on what we were seeing and reading, we decided not to try for the lottery or pop up shop. We got caught in the GameStop website magic - in the end, I was able to order and he was not, which was frustrating to him because apparently he was secretly also trying to order me one of the other non-Funko SDCC exclusives (the Dark Phoenix.) Amazon Snoke and the Blizzard Overwatch thing (for kiddo and bro) I got on the drive down. Walgreens (Bucky Cap and She Hulk) and Walmart (Clone trooper) worked perfectly and the Bucky Cap was his #1 must have. B&N was a beatdown because we kept trying and trying - even went to 2 hrs of sleep and woke up and still couldn't get it to work - and that had my #1 Aragorn*coughStridercough* and Arwen. I called customer service and they couldn't give an ETA. Hubs called customer service and eventually spoke to a regional manager who told us pops were limited to two per person and told us two local stores to try. When we reached the store, there were about 20 people in line. The people in front of us were there on behalf of their friend's store to buy product for his store. We were then told it was 2 of each pop per person. (So much for getting one!) Scrum ensued, complete with elbows flying and people pushing. Now my husband is a big guy and I suppose if he had gone in like that, he would've got it but we're not those people. He's not going to hurt someone to get a Pop! Upset hubs complained to the manager that the regional manager had given us different information about quantities as well as the website fiasco nd the manager he was talking to "wanted to make it right" and was also manager of another B&N, called over and put one on hold for us. =D> Went to pick it up and realized THAT B&N had tons of pops left even after being open for 90 minutes so we were able to pick up Harry Potter and Flocked Tigger for the kiddos and Scareglow. Set a timer on my phone to refresh for Funko Shop updates while we walked around the con to get She-Ra and scored, despite thinking it would be impossible to get her. Whew! By the time we got home last night, everything was already at our house other than the GameStop, which came today, and the She-Ra.

Tl, dr: yes, we got everything we wanted at retail price, no less!

I'm kinda hoping there's nothing critical I want for NYCC.

I gave up on the pop up shop immediately after landing at the airport and driving past the shop.. the lineup was too intimidating and I didn't want to wait in lines all con.

Got some of the shared exclusives at FYE and Hot Topic near spreckels, as well as one conan.

I didn't have preview night so I didn't qualify for the fanatics line.
Also, since there was no loser option for the Funko draw, all tickets were all gone quick so I didn't get into the booth.
So other than a friend helping me get a Clara, x-23 and Fundays that was it for me this year.

2x holographic lead and R2D2
1x supreme leader snoke
2x gwenpool
2x red she-hulk

2x aquaman
1x wonder twins
1x harry potter

Was impossible to get to the pop up shop and was really unfortunate that there was pretty much no way to get some of the more limited edition ones.

Is there a place on the forum to talk about trades?

Nice! Looks like you scored a lot of what you wanted or a ton of trade bait or both

In hindsight I can laugh now too. I'm like what is the password? I don't have this many different options what is going on? I probably look so confused/frustrated to an outsider lol

It wasn't a total wash but wasn't a super success either. My mom came for a visit from out of state and one of my kid's birthday was on Thurs. In the past I have gone all over town to the stores to get what I'm after and always had a pretty good outcome, but instead this year I stayed up Wed. night/morning to only do web orders on the shared exclusives so that the kid could have the spotlight on her special day.
I was able to get some of my wants but not many of my most wanted. B&N was a burning pit of he... nightmare for me. Nearly 3 hours I tried and into the wee hours of the morning. So, nothing. I couldn't get an order to go through for Gamestop either but got some leftovers ordered today. And no go on Tinkles. I can't even speak about Funko Shop or I die inside a little more each time. Not a thing. Wasn't lucky with the shops ticket drawing or for any of the Conan pops. Forget anything non-shared.
Next year, SDCC better not fall ON the 20th and sorry mom you will have to come visit before or after. Never, ever again during!

Managed to get through on HT online to order my Occamy and Luna, but had to do it on a hotel computer rather than my cell phone, and just barely made it under the time limit imposed on the computer! Ended up leaving SDCC Thursday morning to go line up at the Gamestop next to my hotel to get the Tony Stark pop - I was 15th in line, but they had around 30 so I was good there. Picked up a Negaduck on a whim for a line buddy that had wanted it from the booth, and passed it on later in the con to them. And because it was one of the few sites that was working, and nice to me, I ordered Bucky Cap off Walgreens since I wanted to have one nice ordering experience.

Thought I was going to strike out completely on B&N Harry - what a saga there! I have in my inbox a paypal confirmation from them, but even now nothing has come through on B&N indicating the order went through. Called all around trying to track one down, and was striking out everywhere. Kind of resigned to paying a flipper, when a friend offered up her mom in CO as a personal shopper. Started calling her 4 local B&Ns, and lo and behold was able to direct her to a store just in time to buy the last one! When my friend told me she'd pick it up and bring it back on her next visit, I told her I'd send her with a pop protector. I don't think she's stopped laughing at me yet. But I don't care, because...success!

Dude I understand your pain. I was up till 3 AM PST trying to get Tigger before giving up. I would click checkout and it would just spin. Barnes and Noble online experience was a nightmare.

Boy oh boy am I sorry we were in pain together here! Someone somewhere has to have a good B&N website expereience! My Harry came today via the friend's mom - the box is a little more dinged than I would usually want, but at least I got one, right? And once I put it in a protector case, it looks a bit better.

Now just waiting on the HT order! Should arrive by Monday, something to look forward to in this long post-SDCC week!

I feel your pain. I have given up on the funko booth the last two years. They moved to the ticket system and it is just as bad as when it was all about being first in exhibit hall floor or in the area when line becomes uncapped. It just has its own set of problems. That is why I love the shared part. It makes me happy. As a result, its only fundays and preview night access to booth that is disappointing. I am already counting down for Fundays 2018 because 2016 was such a blast. It was a sad Friday night because all I could think about was the blast I had at Fundays 2016.

I am hoping SDCC learns that people are unhappy with this system and goes to a lottery. This way I can at least sleep in a bed!.

SERIOUSLY! As hard as we have to work to GET a bed during SDCC, you'd think they'd be willing to let us sleep in them!

Don't feel badly - there are more of us that can't get in than there are that do! Tried for the booth once, and spent the rest of the day exhausted with no pops to show for it!

I feel both of your pain. I was at SDCC starting Wednesday for preview night and no luck getting into booth or pop up shop. In all honesty, I have given up on booth. I heard pop up shop was chaotic.

I actually stumbled upon the pop up shop line while trying to meet up with a friend, and couldn't believe how long the line was (this was Wed afternoon!). Passed the shop post con when the windows were dark (and I'm sure the shelves were CLEARED), and took a few pictures just because I could! Figure that's as close as I'll ever get to the front of the store again!

Dropped by my local HT tonight just to see, out of curiosity, what was left over after the weekend feeding frenzy. Surprisng number of SDCC pops still available - tons of Gwenpool, and a large stack of Baby w/Dean. Good amount of other pops as well, though no Luna or Occamy. So there is still hope for those of us still looking/hoping in-store will work for us!

I was able to get tickets for the Funko booth on Thursday and Sunday. My ticket for Thursday was the 2:00 pm wave, sadly not much was left. I did whoever ended up getting the 9:30 wave on Sunday. I was able to get all of the Scott Pilgrims pops. All in all I'm pretty happy!!

Thank you, yeah it was a kick in the teeth. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for them on ebay but they are crazy prices right now. Hopefully they'll come down a bit in a few weeks once the SDCC dust has settled? [-o<

Undeniably cool things! I wouldn't know about the shipping lol, as people from the UK can't buy from them apparently!! :(

People from the UK can buy from them. They have their 2017 Fundays Website Policy front and centre in the Fundays section, before you scroll down to the items, one of which says: •International customers MUST pay via Pay Pal and ship to a Pay Pal verified address, or risk cancellation.

In their general terms for other items, it says: International Payments - In order to process and ship quickly we recommend payment by Pay Pal or a Pay Pal linked credit card shipping to a Pay Pal verified address. All other forms of payment must be verified by Gemini Collectibles and will result in shipping delay or possible cancellation of the purchase. International payments shipping to an address in the USA must be paid by Pay Pal and ship to a Pay Pal verified address. USA Payments shipping to an International address must be shipped to a Pay Pal verified address. All International echeck payments will be cancelled.

It sounds like it's a bit hit and miss for them as to which international credit cards they are able to process. Shipping to a verified paypal address helps them control the One Per Person rule. So for the Funday items which were is very large demand, it was Paypal (which they know they can process) or nothing.

I must of missed that statement in the mad dash for items, you had to be rapid to get anything decent! no time for reading terms lol.

* bought the bulk order in Gamestop online
* bought the ht exclusives online except for Marvin
* bought the BL exclusives online except for Scooby
* was able to buy the target exclusives online
* was able to buy the walmart exclusives online
* was able to buy nightwing/deathstroke 2 pack in EE
* was able to buy a few items from FPI as well
* buying from Barnes is a Major headache - wasnt able to get through buying. Luckily, I went to the local barnes and they were able to order a Flocked Tigger and Harry on Broom for me. so im only missing The Tick
* Brett was able to help me with the Scott Pilgrim and Roxy pop in the booth
* I was able to buy Ochaco in Funimation
* My friends got a 930 session on Thursday and bought me a few more exclusives that were not shared (except for Blue Chrome Batman coz I was too shy to ask for more)
* I got a 230pm session on Friday so I was able to buy a few more exclusives
* I was able to get a session on the pop up shop for friday (#195) - so I was able to buy from there except for those that went soldout
* We were able to go back on Sunday @ the pop up shop and buy the soldout items (peter perfect, rufus, Bugs 2 pack, shirts and huck soda)
* got conan tickets on Thursday (and we were in orchestra even if we checked in late!) so we got the Jedi conan, we won a twitter giveaway and got Spidey Conan. We went to the GOT Experience (waiting time for us is only 10 mins! on Saturday so we got White Walker Conan). Im only missing flash and mono.

So all in all, i think my SDCC hunting went well! We didnt have to camp and the most we had to wait in line is 5 hrs since I was #195..
hopefully, ill still get lucky next year!

Target just notified me that Interplanetary BATMAN is ready for pickup.

Interplanetary BATMAN came with a cracked helmet, can't return in store, can't return by mail (according to website) already had buyers remorse before picking it up,ended up giving it to a neighbors kid.

I wanted Tigger and Scareglow, and managed to get them both into my cart, but was frustrated that the B&N website wouldn't apply my membership discount. So I opted to take a chance of finding them in store (plus I wanted to score the FUNKO DC Trinity poster), but no dice. By the time I got home, both were sold out on-line. Shame on me.

I wasn't able to go hunting for the others I wanted until Friday, so I was worried I wouldn't find all that I wanted. But FYE had plenty of the Wonder Twins when we got there Friday morning. That was my most-wanted SDCC POP. Over at our Hot Topic, we scored the last Occamy they had in stock. My wife kinda-sorta wanted Luna Lovegood, but she was already gone.

All-in-all, not a bad hunt. Just wish I hadn't been so stupid about Tigger and Scareglow. Lesson learned.

I'll let you know! My single order of it (ship to store) came in a bag and was busted up, so instant return. Back to hoping the order of 3 that I initially returned gets replaced with good boxes...if that comes back bad, I think I'll just wait for prices to drop on Ebay. Given that it hasn't sold out yet, I'm thinking it won't be a problem

Do you live in San Diego? If you do, the store is always there. That building is actually their offices for a certain department of Funko. Trust me, I have been trying to see if they have software jobs there. If they had software engineering jobs there, I would consider leaving my current job to work for them assuming price is right. It would be awesome to work for a company that makes a great product that I love.

Don't feel bad. You might not have been able to check out on the Barnes and Noble site. A lot of people had a lot of issues and struggles with it.
