Scott Pilgrim Pops Announced

What a difference a year makes. From struggling to get thr Sex Bob-omb set to getting all thr Scott exclusives, Freddie Scott Pilgrim and trading to get a Scott proto.

I heard a rumour that there were 2 variations of the Scott Freddie. One with a green shirt anotherr with a yelow, but never saw Yellow. Any truth to that?

FYI
There were 3 Scott Protos on the floor. One was the flaming seird proto, and I believe 2 sex bob-omb versions.

Super annoyed how easy getting nega Scott was, and missing the normal Scott because he was only available for like 10 minutes. I think I'm going to call it quits on this line. I got knives, Ramona, and nega Scott.

I'll see about getting a normal Scott, but collecting this series is just ridiculous.

I can NOT find another version of Scott Freddy. I have only seen the green Funko shirt version... and I bet the Scott with sword PROTO was FIRE!!! I imagine I should TRY and get a Scott Proto... :compress:

WAIT!!! You are not talking about the Toys R Us Exclusive Yellow Plumtree shirt Scott Pilgrim? Are you... It was available at the Entertainment Earth Booth at SDCC and online. I saw a picture on instagram and he looks GREAT! waiting for mine to come. Hoping it is not beat up the way TRU has a tendency to ship :eek:

I saw a picture on instagram and he looks GREAT! waiting for mine to come. Hoping it is not beat up the way TRU has a tendency to ship

Someone told me there was two Freddy Scotts, but I never saw another variation besides the green shirt. I did grab a Yellow Plumtree Scott at Entertainment Earth and was close to get Bryan Lee O'Malley to sign but I ran out of time prior to Conan.

I will post pictures once I get home tomorrow of the Scott's.

I was able to grab the (4) pops released during SDCC to remain complete but I need a Scott Pilgrim with the official sticker so it matches. It was the only one sold out when I made my way into the Funko Booth.

You mean you want the sdcc sticker vs the Sumer convention sticker?

Scott with Sword. I was able to grab one from the Funko Shop but noticed the stickers for those will be different.

I got Nega Scott and Roxi from the Funko Booth at SDCC so they have the official sticker.

I need all 3 stickers to match lol

I'm considering tossing my Nega Scott. It reminds me that I didn't get the sword Scott, which I wanted way more. It just makes me upset.

Luckily, I was able to get a Sex Bob Omb set. So along with the commons and Nega Scott, I think I'm satisfied enough. I've got to agree with you. I'm tired of busting my 4$$ trying to get limited run exclusives that should be commons. At least give us the exes. Make character variants exclusives.

What's the deal Brian?
Why are the exes and Scott's arguably most (or second most) iconic look extremely limited runs? You know it isn't collectors passionate about Scott getting these. It's opportunists selling to collectors, and flippers.

I have absolutely no clue how it happened but between Funko Shop drops and some very awesome funatic friends I managed to get all the LE Scott stuff this year. Within minutes of walking into Fundays I heard the was a Scott Freddy so I started trying to wheel and deal for one. lol

. Fortunately my good pal Popsaysee (Jayson) hooked me up with one of his dupes. I'm seriously shoked because I went into SDCC agonizing over all the LEs and rsigning myself to paying ebay prices.

I know Brian loves this line and I'm sure if he didn't push for it that we'd just be stuck with the common releases, but I dread SP exclusives at every con going forward and its gonna get exhausting. Well played Brian/Funko...its almost as bad as being a Hanna Barbara fan lol

Honestly the decisions behind sword scott being the hard to get one makes no sense. Why is the her hair looks like this the mass release pop choice? Nega Scott being easier to get than normal Scott? Baffled.

Thought about getting another nega Scott and painting him, but wouldn't know what to do about the sword.

I would have rather seen them do specialty series than ruin this series so badly.

Wondering who they will disappointingly release next on the funkoshop.

The moment at Fundays when I learned about Freddy Scott... I was trying to deal to get one. When I learned there were 3 Scott protos - I dealed some more. I'm pretty sure I annoyed a ton of funatics asking 'Do you have a Scott Pilgrim proto'?

This line brought me to Funko - no matter how difficult, nevrr giving it up.

I think it's easier to get mad at Funko for making these hard to get than it is to be happy at Funko for making them at all.

We all know that Brian loves SP. If he didn't, then he wouldn't have bothered expanding the line. As for why we're getting exclusives instead of a second wave, look at how many people got legitimately angry at Scott Pilgrim getting an entire wave for SDCC. People on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and other forums were p*** that Funko "wasted an entire day" on something from a movie that, technically, flopped at the box office.

SP is a niche product, just like Hannah Barbera is. Brian also is very aware of the fact that Scott Pilgrim fans - though few - are eager to get their hands on merch because there isn't much SP merch out there in the first place. He knows we'll fight hard for these exclusives. VERY FEW people care about Scott Pilgrim Pops unless they're numbered. Is it cruel? No, it's smart business.

What I don't understand, then, is why Funko isn't taking advantage of the "Specialty Series" when it comes to this line? Make Gideon, or Sword Scott, or any huge new character part of the Specialty Series. That way, they're still limited, but just limited enough that they'll have the chance to get into the hands of actual fans, and not just flippers looking to make a quick buck.

Who knows? All I do know is that Scott Pilgrim is a niche enough line that I doubt the few of us die hard fans complaining are enough to convince the company to make a more wide release. That being said, we can at least hope for a Specialty Series release, because that - in my opinion - is even smarter business.

If this line had been released through the SS, I think I might have had more faith in getting them for myself. But with them mostly being exclusives and Funko Shop, I've kind of resigned myself to not owning anything but the commons. I love that Funko is expanding the line, and I'm super thankful to Brian for going to bat for it so often, but I'm just discouraged whenever it comes to new SP releases. I'm going to try and get Plumtree Scott once he starts hitting stores, but Envy and the Exes so far are out of my reach, along with Sex Bob-Omb.

I am glad that some people here have been able to piece together some awesome collections though.

I love seeing pictures of all of them together and hopefully we'll get more.

I agree with this sentiment. I'd even settle with just making them 5000pcs because even if flippers get them the prices would be at least more bearable and more obtainable.

One of my favorite sets. It's been difficult to stay complete because Funko is making this an LE line after the initial release but the hunt is what has made it fun.

I have a Scott Pilgrim Vs The World DVD cover signed and a Wizard Magazine signed by Brian Lee O'Malley, Edgar Wright and Ellen Wong. I hope I can get the rest of the cast to sign one of them... but no luck so far. Even the girl drummer from Crash and the Boys alludes me.
