YES. Batman, Harry Potter, WD Daryl. Stop the madness! I actually feel dirty sometimes because being a HP and WD completist I feel like I'm buying stuff I don't necessarily want just to stay complete. Ugh. That flying Harry is pretty darned cool though. So is Interplanetary Planet Batman. Well played Funko, well played lol

Same boat for me. I find myself buying to stay complete, and not necessarily buying because I like the Pop. Case in point for me was Target Exclusive Rey last Christmas. I think it was an unnecessary pose, but alas, I snatched one up anyway, at full price! (only to see about 100 of them on clearance for $2.86 a few short weeks later)

So, being a Star Wars and Batman collector, I'm pretty much screwed, lol!
WHAT AM I DOING?!?!?!

I didn't mention this before, but there are certain characters I WOULD buy all variants, but it seems other characters overshadow them.

Superman is one, which of course is overshadowed by Batman, but there are still quite a few versions of Superman we could get.
Wolverine is another, overshadowed by Deadpool, but again, so many versions of Wolvie that haven't been made yet, and I'd buy them all. :D
Hey I'm John! :joker:

Pops!- 860ish
Dorbz: 35
Mystery Minis: 34
Sodas: 7
Vinyl Idolz: 2
Hikari: 1
Mini-Hikari: 1

This Is Where A Really Neat Signature Is Going To Go....Eventually...Maybe.

Superman definitely gets the short end of the stick. (especially in the Dorbz department) So many Superman variants.

Superman has more Pops than Harley, but people rarely complain about him...

I collect all the Batman's, so I say the more the merrier. The problem with some pops are they are hard core collector wanted, not general collector wanted. That's why they have the subscription box.

I complain about it plenty. but to put how much friggin Harley there is into perspective I count 25 Superman Pops (with several seemingly being the same Batman/Superman 2 pack for some reason) and 21 Harley Pops. and when you factor in that Superman has 54 years of existence over Ms. Quinn that isn't really that impressive of a lead, and don't even get me started on the 35 Deadpools.

But their current popularity has to be considered. Harley, Batman, and Superman and DC's three top-selling, most popular characters. Wonder Woman doesn't even make the cut any longer. So Funko is just catering to the current collector's market. And not to rub salt in the wound, but I believe Harley has 23 Pops these days (if you count the Imposters line...)

heh, I didn't count the imposters as it's not really Harley. same with the Conan or Freddy Superman figures. but again kind of like I said in the Batman Animated box thread I totally get the popularity and sales do drive what gets made and i'm not advocating never getting any of these characters again, but at the end of the day I really can't imagine Harley Variant #337 or Deadpool in yet another random Hat or even Batman in a silly color would sell better than an entirely new character with at least a slight level of popularity.

I think there is. I don't think we need so many variants of some characters, but I say this because I try to collect certain characters to completion lolol.

I feel there is a point. So many pops have insane variant amounts.
As Brian Mariotti once said.... Go boxless, it’s more fun!

No doubt. They get it right sometimes, other times it's like they are not even trying.

At least it appears those are improving. The last one was great and I have faith in the next.

Freeze is an amazing Pop for sure, but truth be told I still think they could've used the box to give us a more obscure but still fan desired character like say Ventriloquist as Freeze could've easily been put into series 2 of the BTAS line.

Agreed 100%. Ventriloquist was my ultimate want. Still hoping for him down the line. Mr. Freeze should have been in the main line.
