I get it from a marketing/sales standpoint, both He-Man & Skeletor are very desirable characters and can easily sell on their own merit. Sell them separately and you stand a good chance of selling both sets really well. Sell them together and your chances of selling a second set with say Man-at-Arms & Trap Jaw dips considerably.

Just my 2 cents. Heck, Trap Jaw might be one of Brian's favorites, he decided that's who he wanted to make and who could blame him for that?

Yeah, the more that I thought about it I kind of came to the same conclusion. I just think He-Man and Skeletor would have looked better together in the package, than Trap Jaw, who I have no problem with. I am just being picky, I guess.

I am with you. From an in package display standpoint it would have been neat to see He-Man/Skeletor, Man-at-Arms/Trap Jaw, Moss Man/Beast Man, Teela/Evil-Lyn, Roboto/Faker, Stratos/Merman, She-Ra/Hordak... etc.

So I didn't know what it was at the time but there is a Dustin/Lucas set from Stranger Things in my system at work.

It's the only one showing up so I want to guess it might be an exclusive, but it's not marked as such. Either way, I can't wait to see what Funko has in store for this product line.

I really like the NBC pair -- Jack especially looks great. And I love my horror characters so there's a good chance I'll also grab the Freddy/Jason set. Looking forward to seeing them when they come out.

I'm not a fan of this design style, but what I dislike the most is the 2-pack only setup, which is something I usually try to avoid. Makes displaying a pain. I will definitely be passing on these. They're just not appealing to me.

Sooo what's everyone's thoughts on the newly announced Funko VYNL figures. To me honestly they look great for the NBC ones but the rest look kinda weird still cool looking but weird . Is anyone hyped for these?

They remind me of a Cartoon Network cartoon, but I can't put the name to it. I'm happy that Funko is a expanding. Hopefully the line takes off. I can't wait for the Disney line to come out.

Yes! It is on the tip of my tongue and I can't figure it out. But, they remind me of some cartoon. I'm thinking maybe Dexter's Lab? For some reason I just pictures there things chasing each other around a room, trying to kill each other in weird ways......

I guess it's safe to assume these are replacing Vinyl Idolz, especially since the guy who helped design them did the VI also? What a bummer, I liked that style a lot, but aside from Stan lee they never really made characters I'd want. Still on the fence about Superman.

That said, I'll probably get some of these, depending on the characters.

At first i wasn't really feeling them, but then they put up the pic on IG of Batgirl and Poison Ivy and they made sense to me after that. I think they have potential to be pretty cool

That's what happened with me, I really liked the style of the VI but they just didn't branch out into lines I really wanted. I got my Stan Lee though and I love him!

I think you're spot on with Dexter's Lab but I feel like there was another cartoon. I can't think of it either lol

I think I'll be able to make up my mind once I see them in person. For now I'm safe, but if they end up making a Supernatural Sam and Dean set, then I'd have to get that.
