I've given up entirely on ship to store. They get so many shipments in that I am paranoid it will either get lost, or opened and put on the shelf. Barnes & Noble on the other hand, writes your name all over the box for ship to store to make sure it doesn't get unpacked.

I once did a Pop ship to store at HT and it came in DESTROYED and I said hell nooooooooo. Luckily, they had one in store and swappped it out for me though.

I spend an embarrassing amount at Hot Topic so I got their CC and use the $2 shipping now. I used to ship a lot to store but now for $2 I figure it is easier than going to the mall. Though I still go to the store a bunch to keep up with the newest shipments and chat with the employees. They are really nice at my local ones

That's good that they had the same one for you to exchange! I have had really good luck with HT shipments but I have heard a few horror stories. At least if you're in the store it makes exchanging/returning easier. And maybe they can send some direct feedback up the food chain if it happens often enough.

Yeah, I think the CC just helps you rack up points faster and I think I get some more coupons (like for the month of May I got a $20 off $50 instead of the usual $15 off $50 after Hot Cash codes). It's worth consolidating your accounts to get to the $2 shipping threshold if you order a lot (like every couple weeks these limited number Dorbz come out).

If you use your HT number each time, you probably already have it and don't know it.

The other great thing is earning HT points faster at 1.25 pts per dollar instead of $1 for the $5 rewards every $100.

Make sure they have your birthday as well since they give another $5 credit for your birthday which is good for a month.

I am saving some credit for upcoming Hot Cash starting on 7/6/17 (Preview day is 7/5/17! ).

Well, in addition to VIP I'm also referring to the HT Credit Card. I think you get $2 shipping with just the VIP, but with the credit card, you get some really good deals as well. For May, there was a $20 off of $50 coupon and at my local HT, they do a buy 2 get 1 free, so I was able to combine these two to get 4 Pops for about $19 out the door. Also scored 5 Pop Stacks for $19
