After seeing the little teaser I'm very intrigued. I love monsters and I love cuteness. These should be right up my alley.

Wilky - New interest in old spastic plastic lines and other Funko oldies.

I have been looking forward to this line since it was first mentioned. But the thought of them being Funko Shop exclusives makes me sad. I really hope they make them available to international customers. I don't mind paying eBay prices for the occasional Funko Shop exclusive, because it's only very rarely that one interests me - but to have a whole line that I want...

Be prepared to pay even more since we'll likely get one for the store opening in August, too. Funko shop items do suck for international collectors. I get that in some instances there are licensing issues because they might not have the license in the specific geographical location but that shouldn't be a problem for their own IP. Only issue then is logistics of shipping and cost (which his not a small issue but can be dealt with).

No, thus the "likely" language. But seems like an obvious and easy choice by them. That and some Freddys. It's Funko's HQ Store opening so they'll want to celebrate all things Funko and likely use it as an opportunity to promote their new line and build some hype.

Re: Wetmore Forest
You know, regardless if I buy them, or if they are too cutesy for me, I feel pretty happy to be a part of the Funko community when a new line of Funko original characters is coming out. If Funko is still madly popular 10-15-20 years down the road and I still collect, I'll be very happy to say that I was around when something new was created. That alone might be the driving point for me to collect the line, but man...I collect so many lines now...

I'm very interested to see how Funko reveals some of the back stories on these characters. This Tumblebee character is pretty stinkin cute and I'd love to see where it comes from and who all it's friends are

I figure in 20 years I'll be divorced, living in a two bedroom apartment, and sleeping in the living room because both bedrooms will be Funko caves,

I love anything having to do with monsters so this is just so cool to me. Love seeing funko using their creative freedoms to design different kinds of original characters, especially monsters. Lots and lots of room to come up with all kinds of unique and interesting designs.

This is very interesting. I was super stoked when these were first announced (like a lot of people, monsters and horror icons are what first got me into Pop collecting) and I love how excited and passionate the artists and designers seem to be about this line. I feel as if this first little monster is fairly tame, but I have no doubt Funko will pull out all the stops and start making more grotesque, old-school-looking monsters soon!

I really, really want to be completionist for this line. I love them already. I just hope they aren't incredibly limited, and I don't have to sell an arm and a leg for some. I know I'll probably end up doing just that, but I can still dream. Looking forward to the reveal!

I guess I completely missed the wetmore announcement and Tumblebee totally freaked me out today when waiting for the funko-shop item
. It'll be interesting to see how mainstream this original IP will get compared to their old original characters given Funko's meteoric rise in popularity.

Agreed, I think this line would have done really well if they started with a web-series first, drew you into the characters and then released the merchandising for it.
It is a slightly harder commitment for myself jumping for a character I have absolutely zero attachment to
