That was the only thing I really truly wanted at Con last year.. mega Deadpool was a nice consolation

Nope. Like Mike, the Mega Cap was my most desired piece but they were spoken for quite early. Missed the ones at Fundays as well so maybe this year will be the one.

Yeah, saw a few ppl carrying them after waiting in line all nite and the pop-up shop..hoping there are more this year, will def try for one!

I thought the megadorbz last year were for the Captain America anniversary so maybe they'll do some this year for wonder woman.

They made a bunch of them last year, the problem was that most of them arrived scuffed/ scratched/ damaged. Most were disposed of. I was lucky enough to grab a Batman and Deadpool off of Gemini when they went up. They are not vinyl, they consist of a thin plastic shell. They are surprisingly light, they don't seem particularly fragile but they were packed in plastic inserts that scuff the paint. I suspect the scuffing is what got most of them rejected for QC reasons. Mine aren't bad, but there's kind of a shiny "halo" around the head and lower body where they were seated in the inserts. And man, they are huge. HUGE. Especially in the box, which was packaged inside another box. It looked like two dorm fridges had been delivered to my house lol

LOL. Well, I wonder what the plan is for future MEGA DORBZ releases then.. maybe it was just too much of a rush job for the con? I mean, at least now they know what to address, unless of course they just abandon them, which I sincerely hope isn't the case.

Wow you'd think they'd still sell them as damaged rather than paying to ship them back to HQ or even throw them out. Has anyone thought of dumpster diving outside Funko South? :-k

LOL! I know they gave out a handful at Fundays and I heard most were damaged, so perhaps the majority of them simply turned into said giveaways?

I hope they have more Mega Dorbz and no damages during transit. Also hope they make a bigger run on these as I wanted Mega Dorbz Captain America from last year as well. But I cannot afford that secondary market value.

Those mega Dorbz are so cute! Hopefully they have them again this year. Slept on the sidewalk last year on the second day but they were all out on the first day

I agree but I want them. Gemini has one up for sale and there are a few deadpool and Captain Americas on eBay.

I got the three Batman versions, but never got my hands on Captain. The Deadpool ones are too plain to me for the money. Don't get me wrong I would have grabbed one at Fundays and been happy wih them, but pricing aftermarket caused some prioritization.

There has been such interest in them, I think Funko will work out the qc issues. They will probably cost more, but I think the demand is there to promote the production and price increase if necessary.

They do. I have one of the Batmans and Deadpools, they're still in the box but as soon as I get my hobby room project finished I already know where they are going as you can see in this sketch :-)

Yeah I'm a little skeptical too but I think demand is there. I guess the question is how many will they produce and ship out.

Personally, I'd just want one of these Giant Dorbz or even Giant Pop because they're almost life like. If I could, I would have brought home one of those Giant Dorbz that was on display at Fundays lol

they're so life like.

I've got to do some wiring for new lights, replace the ceiling fan and paint the north and south walls, then I'll be tackling the east wall which is where the Funko dusplays will be :-)
