Ok so Target is officially dead to me. The only way I'll ever step foot in one again is if I have an uncontrollable case of diarrhea!! I thought FYE Muftak was bad! I wasted until 330am est and just bit the bullet and bought from ebay.

so I like how it was having gotten the Hoth Han on Tauntaun that made me decide to get Hoth Leia, and getting both of those made me decide to look for other Hoth characters and I was able to get the last Hoth Luke from my local comic book tore yesterday before work. They look great together.

I stayed up for a little bit last night refreshing targets site for Qui Gon. But then passed out lol. Figured I'd get Qui Gon later since Rey is higher up on my want list right now. Target giving people the run around is pretty weak though. Hope they get it together on future releases but that's asking a lot.

If he can do it, so can I. If anybody wants to buy my Qui-Gon, it is yours for the low price of $1200. That's over $300 less than this jabroni. Plus, I'll do free first class shipping. On top of that, mine is in a mint box! I'll also take best offer as long as it is above $1100. Anyone? Anyone?

I missed Leia by like five minutes. Had her in my cart, had to go do something real quick at work, came back.....gone.

Qui-Gon acquired!

got to Target about 5 minutes before opening today to find 5 ppl in line at the door. luckily everyone was very cool and there was no race to the back lol ended up with a great group of 5 other guys waiting for someone to bring the case out. 6 of us, 6 to a case...instant sell out. feeling very lucky. as I was leaving there were others looking for him so it totally paid of being there early.

Got to my Target store a little late due to work and found they sold all 4 Qui-Gons to the same person. Not happy. Each store should have gotten at least 12 or 24 of these. They still would have sold out and I would not now have two Qui-Gon size holes in my collection.
Okay, if you want to add glitter to that glue you're sniffing, that's fine, but don't dump your whackadoo all over us. We'd rather not step in it.

Was the first one waiting for Qui Gon this morning at my local store. Me and all the soccer moms wanting to get their errands done early. They were strict on the one per person (they showed six on hand/3 saleable om brickseek), and pulled out the box of six from the back room. Just checked brickseek again for the same store, and it's now 0/0. Hope the other five went to fellow collectors, but not likely in my area.

I arrived about 30 minutes before Target opened this morning only to find a group of people gathered outside the door. Manager came outside with 6 tickets (1 for each Qui Gon in stock). I was lucky to get there when I did. I got ticket #6 of 6 and was able to get the last one they had. They kept them up at the service desk. Had to turn in the ticket for the Pop. Each ticket even expired at 8:30am so if someone took a ticket and shopped around but didn't make it to the service desk on time, they'd miss out. Obviously it didn't come to that. The 6 of us with tickets were walking out of the store at about 8:03. Poor guy in the parking lot watched us exit with horror in his eyes. He knew he shouldn't have slept in I guess. #-o

Congrats! Kudos for your store handling this in a fair way. Hopefully Target will learn from this release and implement a policy like this at all stores.

Yeah, luckily they did this. I have a lot of Targets in my area... I'm talking maybe 10-15 in realistic driving distance. Every single one is sold out and all but 3 sold out on Friday as soon as the release date change fiasco occurred (and about 30 minutes after I left my closest Target ](*,) ). I picked 1 of the remaining 3 that were waiting for today to release. Called the other 2 stores out of curiosity at around 8:04 when I got in my car and they were sold out already. Quite the demand for this one....

Tell me about it. I applaud you for your composure. I'd be very angry if I didn't get one. And trust me, I'm never like that because I feel there are bigger things to worry about than whether or not I can find a collectible, but with this one, the disorganization with the date change and all that really annoyed me. That was the problem here.

Good luck! I really hope you are able to get one somehow for a reasonable price.

Thanks. I try not to take collecting too seriously and understand that as someone who has been to Fundays 3 times and has found other hard to find items that you can't win them all and I am fortunate to have the collection that I have. I really wanted this one and spoke to a manager today who was nice. They are going to hold onto one if they get a restock, but I highly doubt that will be the case.

Tried two stores today that BS said had stock of qui gon...guess I picked the wrong ones because they didn't have any. Store system said they had them, but they were nowhere to be found (did have a helpful associate hook me up with a classic nes system though). During this, all the other stores that showed stock are now cleaned out, including one that I visited twice on Saturday only to be turned away, but that was showing 4, but now only has 2. Interesting.

The Head wrote:Tried two stores today that BS said had stock of qui gon...guess I picked the wrong ones because they didn't have any.

This whole thing was just a complete mess. I know that Qui Gon was the one a lot of people wanted most so it's a shame it was handled this way. As I posted earlier, I was able to get the last one this morning in a not-so-mint box, but I'm happy just to get one after all the mayhem.

Priority 1: Purchase specimen. Ignore all work procedures. Disallow communications. All other considerations secondary

So on Thursday the Target I went to wouldn't sell Qui Gon to me but guaranteed it would be held through end of day today for me. But unfortunately apparently it got sold out from under me on Saturday against the instructions of the manager. And by the time I found out that it happened every other store was already sold out. Super upset with how Target handled this release

You mean you've just finished work and you are going to pick up a Qui Gon, you can always get another job later, this is an exclusive lol :roflmao:

Yeah, but if I quit my job to buy a Pop, finding another wife later might prove more difficult!!

That happened to me as well. I went to a Target that wasn't my local one while out hunting on Thursday. The employee grabbed them from the back, took one out of the case. put my name an # on a sticky note and placed on the pop and locked it in a cabinet in the electronics section.

I saw the tweet on Friday night 2 minutes before Target closed that they lifted street date. Decided to go to my local one at 8 AM on Saturday and was able to purchase one of the 6 Qui Gon's. Decided to go to the store that was holding the one for Monday so I can help a fellow funatic. They looked everywhere but could not locate my hold. The manager came over and stated that they do not do holds on collectibles. I asked him if his employees knew this rule since "John" was very helpful and locked one up for me. He stated they knew this (obviously he didn't) and said next time try to show up early to get it. I told him that was the plan but since Target corporate couldn't get their act together it screwed many people over. He didn't seem to care so I just left. Sorry I couldn't help anyone. I tried a store this AM and even went to one on Lunch that was showing 4 with no luck.
