honestly, neither of them would make sense for this box, remember the first box is all Disney Pirates so really, you are pulling from the Pirates of the Caribbean films and ride, Peter Pan, and Treasure Island
I wasn't even thinking of the theme when I was picturing those two as mini Hikari.

Interesting ... I don't know what to make of the announcement. We have our subscriptions already, so I guess it won't matter anyway.

It could be that the price difference is only for yearly sub.
Equally awesome tidbit from the email, there will be a 3rd vinyl figure in the box
Hmn ... a third vinyl figure. Tinker Bell!

The box is going to be big already since there is a Ridez and a Pop in it, so I am guessing the 3rd item is going to be something small like a PSH or a MM. The mini Hikari are actually fairly large, the boxes are about the size of a Dorbz box. So I doubt that will be the 3rd item as it would make for a huge shipping box.

Crocodile or Jack Sparrow Hikari Mini would rad! Probably asking for a lot since we are already getting a pop & dorbz ride in hit box but than again they may try to come out go the gate swinging hard on this first box to get people on board for the long haul.

what I'd most like to see as the 3rd figure:

Looking at the new Trailer, my guess is the third item will be Barbossa's Jack the Monkey.

Can't complain about Jack the Monkey! The "red one" or the auctioneer would be great too. Or the dog with key in his mouth. You could seriously do a whole line of pops from that ride

Yea, the only reason I think it will be Jack the Monkey is if you look at Funko's new Trailer, they have Barbossa's Jack prominently displayed.

A dog with keys dorbz/pop would be super cute
If its a pop or dorbz of another character from the ride I have a friend who will flip over it

I'm sure it's Jack the Monkey after the trailer but I would just die of happiness if we got a Peter Pan PSH or any other Peter Pan item because besides Rapunzel/Tangled he's my favorite Disney character/movie. So of course I'm already delighted about getting a Smee to go with my Tinkerbell and Peter Pan POP's! But I'm not going to completely get my hopes up just yet, I do like the Pirates movies but I'd probably like something more geared towards the actual ride like the dog with the keys that someone mentioned earlier.
I'm also hoping I get my box quickly so I'm not tempted to see any spoilers besides what we've already found out about!

Like you surmised from the video, Jack the monkey is obvious ... unless that's what the Funko team wants us to think and it will be something entirely different.

isn't the price just going back up to the normal price for the Sub, whereas this price is an extra incentive to purchase for the year?

Re: Disney Subscription Box
I think the price difference is a small discount or ordering the year. On their site, the pay as you go option is $26 per box, 6 month plan is $25 per box, and Founders is $24 per box. Once sub for the first box ends, the founders will no longer be available, meaning cheapest price you can get for a box is $25-$26. Technically, the price does go up, but it goes up to normal pricing.

Right on ... save a couple of bucks per box and receive the Founders one year gift at the end of the year makes it worth it to order the whole year in advance.

Adventureland you say? I know a certain bird that would be PERFECT for that box.

An Adventureland box would be awesome! I wouldn't be surprised if they have a box down the road for each of the lands that "castle" parks have in common ie: Tommorwland, Fantasyland, etc. All I know is that I'm getting more excited as the days go on for this box to arrive!

I think we'll see, in no particular order:
Tomorrowland--Buzzlightyear Master Blaster and/or Rex from Star Tours pop
Adventureland--likely where they would use the Orange Bird, maybe something from Indy
Frontierland--Freddy with Davey Crockett hat
Critter Country--Jamboree Bears
Fantasyland--Given the number of different ways you could go with this, I'd think there will be a couple focused on the animated properties, and probably one with Harold the Yeti from the Matterhorn and maybe a Small World dorbz
Haunted Mansion--so many different ghosts/creatures they could go with here, maybe even a Holiday version with NBC
And that's just from Disneyland (sans the Orange bird, of course). Then you have CA Adventure, Magic Kingdom, and even Main St and Toontown from DL that I didn't get into. Plus all the various movies. Going to be an epic ride!

True, I just feel like the Disneyland/Magic Kingdom style parks are more widespread around the globe. For historical purposes it would be cool to have a POP of the Yeti from the Matterhorn but sadly I have yet to visit Disneyland/California Adventure so it wouldn't have as much significance to me as someone who lives and breathes Disneyland. That being said I do get a lot of mileage out of my WDW Annual Pass so I know if there was ever a replica of the "giant golfball" aka Spaceship Earth from Epcot in one of the boxes I would be all over it!

Re: Disney Subscription Box
We had the chance to visit WDW last year. Had such a great time. I'm expecting Country Bear Jamboree to be making its way into a Sub sometime soon. Give me a Big Al, Liverlips, Teddi Berra, Trixie or Henry any day and I'll be satisfied with anything else in the Sub.
