I really do love Disney, I just was nervous about having 3 subs(MCC and SB too).

I know what you mean. I cancelled marvel collector corps a few boxes ago. I'm going to pick and choose which MCC boxes I get. I'm definitely getting the GOTG one. So I'm only doing the year membership with star wars and disney.

I've generally enjoyed MCC and absolutely love Smuggler's Bounty. Just signed up for 6 months on Disney Treasures to get a taste. Sure I'll keep it long term, but I'm going to SWC, D23, and SDCC in the next few months so didn't feel like I could commit to the full year atm.

Just got an email and I found this part very interesting:

The Pioneer membership is closing April 1st and includes an exclusive collectible figure at the end of the year!

I don't know about you, but "exclusive collectible figure" does not sound like a statue to me. A lot of people may be kicking themselves in about a year for not signing up for pioneer.

This Sub definitely sounds like it will be different. I don't remember this, "Each themed box is limited supply and only available to Disney Treasures members." It sounds like the Disney Sub has different controls on it! #-o

That sort of sounds like what they say on every sub box. Tell you it's limited (debatable) and tell you only subscribers can get it (true, but when you offer the option to buy box by box, that sort of eliminates the effectiveness of it as a limiting factor). I would love if they announced the actual production numbers so we could know just how limited these are (along with how many Pioneers there are).

Hmmm ... I wonder if that means you will be able to purchase past boxes indefinitely? #-o

They say that about each box and if I remember correctly, they have been statues in the past. For instance, MCC says Heroes will receive "an exclusive, themed collectible gift every year on the anniversary of your annual membership.". I'm pretty sure people will want this one no matter what it is though.

I think the previous sub boxes have all said collectible gift, which allows for a trophy/medal. This one says collectible figure, which the trophies don't really qualify as

I can't even imagine all the different characters and variations of things I would love having that I cannot even think of. So many different attractions have come and gone over the years. Still one of my favorite attractions was the Monsanto House of the Future. I always thought I would someday live in a plastic house, but settled for Funko Pops instead. lol

Personally I hope Orange Bird is an in park figure as opposed to in box. I want to see the box have characters that are or have been utilized on both coasts, not just DL or WDW. So I also hope Matterhorn is parks only, because what they could do (and most likely would) is have Orange Bird in WDW and online only, and Matterhorn in DL and online only. If I were Disney that is how I would release them. The odds of someone that lives near WDW wanting Matterhorn (apart from being a completionist) are fairly low, and I think the odds of anyone in SoCal wanting Orange Bird are even lower. As a tourist that has only gone to DLR so far (going to WDW for first time this summer), I don't want to see anything in the boxes that are WDW only characters (sorry Figment, Orange Bird, Everest Yeti, etc, I just don't have any connecttion to these characters)

Interesting and credible approach. It makes sense ... And it would be good news for my favorite, because Bear Country Jamboree (now at DW), had a long run first at DL. I don't know how many more attractions have been part of multiple parks though. Both DL and DW have had such huge numbers of yearly visitors, maybe it wouldn't matter. #-o

I'm not sure if this box is for me.Not really into Disney park specific stuff.

I'm hoping that boxes will be themed after niche content... like A Goofy Movie themed box or one with Bedknobs and Broomsticks content.

New to the discussion and super excited for this box! It's my first and only Funko Subscription box and my Peter Pan loving/WDW AP holder heart said a big fat YES to being a Pioneer, even if my credit card isn't as happy lol!

Well, technically both Max and Goofy appear in the parks, so I don't see how they're any less connected to the parks than Mr. Smee is. And park characters don't get much more iconic than Goofy. =D

This sub features both Disney film and Parks characters. Every box is guaranteed by Funko to have at least one Parks item. While there are plenty of fans of the Parks characters, Funko wouldn't limit this box to only Parks characters since there are a lot of people who have never been or haven't gone enough to form an attachment. Plus the film characters are far more widely known and popular.

I may be a little late to the party here, but in the DT email that was sent out today did you guys see that this sub box has a starter price? It sound like the other boxes from here on out (If you're buying individually) are going to be more expensive.
Too soon?

It could be that the price difference is only for yearly sub.

Equally awesome tidbit from the email, there will be a 3rd vinyl figure in the box

What does everyone think the "Third vinyl collectible" will be? I'm hoping for a Dorbz or Mystery Mini but it will probably be the first Disney mini Hikari. Not a huge fan of them but if it's a Stitch or Mickey I think it will be awesome.

I just subscribed and I'm really looking forward to seeing what else is in the fist box. A mini hikari would be amazing!

I really hope we get a Haunted Mansion box and I would also love to see characters from the Goofy Movie. I feel like this box is going to give some characters that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I can't wait! Is it April yet?

honestly, neither of them would make sense for this box, remember the first box is all Disney Pirates so really, you are pulling from the Pirates of the Caribbean films and ride, Peter Pan, and Treasure Island
