Any predictions on the anniversary gift for Disney Treasures box? Either way, I'm super excited for this box!! I hope they make a statue of Steamboat Mickey or OG Mickey kind of like the Captain America statue for MCC
that would be super awesome!!

It's cool, but think of LOC, CC, and SB; they opened with the Hulk Buster, Armored Batman, and Chrome Phasma. Very exclusive and sought after pops! Also revealing the dorbz ride kind of shows me that maybe there was an underwhelming reception to the Smee pop.
For the first box, this theme and items seems like they're already scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas. Doesn't change my desire for this box at all, since I'm actually really excited for all the extra oddball items in the box as well.
I am as well, which is why I'll be skipping it. I also thought the first box would have more of a showstopper. I think the theme is good. I personally just would have chosen a character other than Smee. They do have the whole year planned out already and said that each new box will be better than the previous. I'm already looking forward to the next box. I hope that it's something I'm interested in particularly since I've waited so many years for this sub box to become a reality and it's also the only sub I'm interested in.
I agree that I wasn't so enthused about Smee but I do love the ship. Since it's a pirate theme, I would've loved a Dirty Foot Pirate Pop from the ride but if you've never been on the ride, you probably wouldn't know who he is.
Aloha, I'm David and I love everything Disney!!!

I'm kind of hoping for an apprentice Mickey. He is one of the most iconic of the Mickey variants and just would make sense. Steamboat Mickey would also be pretty cool though.

I'd bet even money that it will be something mimicking the iconic statue of walt and mickey holding hands in magic kingdom.

So, for anyone who's done the other sub boxes, I have question.
Does Funko (or perhaps Disney?) keep track of your boxes? Due to funds I can't afford to pay for a full year right now, but I'm wondering if six boxes down the line, if I've purchased all of them, that would still count? I realize the answer is most likely "no", but I figured I'd ask.

Yeah it's no. I wish they did that though because I've bought all the Star Wars and Marvel boxes without the founder program

I wonder if you send them an e-mail with proof of purchase if they'd throw in the founder's gift as part of the final box for you. I feel like this ought to be a thing.

Eh. As much as I'd like to get the founders gift I think it's good being exclusive to the people who jumped right in the whole year blind. They committed to the box and Funko for the whole year so they deserve something special.

Yea ... I think that is the idea behind the program. If you are willing to pay for a year upfront, then they reward us with the Founder's gift.

I know. That's why I'm saying people who buy the whole year one month at a time shouldn't get the gift.

For those that didn't get a confirmation email for their order I was able to reach customer service via email and she assured me that as long as I can see the sub in my account (which I can now using a different device/browser) I'm good to go. At least that's resolved.

It's still quite a way's off, but based on the MCC and SB gifts I'd say it's safe to assume it'll be a gold-plated statue. Personally I'd much rather see an exclusive Pop or Dorbz, but it seems they're sticking to the statue theme.

I love the statue theme!! And it would be even more awesome with Walt and Disney together as a statue!! I like having a little variety in my collection and not just Pops and Dorbz. The statues give it a cool little twist to my collection.

so at the Funko booth at ECCC thy have 2 of the Disney Treaures boxes on display (after they have sold through most of their stock of exclusives) and I got an up close and personal look at Smee and the Wicked Wench as well as the box which will be the largest of the boxes I have gotten (mind you I haven't gotten every box, just a few), but those were some impressive figures!

I couldn't agree more. When we go to SDCC there are so many wonderful treasures to be had. Our collections are so varied, yet they all seem to add something to each other. I would be ecstatic if, a year from now, we received a Walt and Mickey statue/trophy ... How neat would that be?

so for anyone who doesn't read the Disney thread in the Pop section of the forum and missed this I wanted to share the custom sketch I got at ECCC from Wilky (one of the Funko artists). They said anything would count so I chose Aladdin as it may be the closest I ever get to having an Aladdin pop.

Not wanting to be left out is a powerful motivator! I was on the fence and leaning toward founder, but the SW gift convinced me not to. The founders gifts always look cheap to me. And that's fine I suppose, since they're ~free. But they don't convince me to sub from the start.

Yeah, that's a big part of what I was wrestling with and I too was underwhelmed by the SB founder gift. With that said, I think the Disney box has the potential to have by far the best Founders gift so I'm giving them another shot. That and you know, the fact that I have a funko problem.

Eh, even if the founder's gift isn't SUPER great, i'll totally stockholm syndrome the savings of paying up front.. LOL.
The potential for every box is huge and I'm pretty excited for them.

I agree that the Disney Sub is going to be over-the-top. The first box is awesome ... Please Funko, give us a Walt/Mickey Trophy.
