I don't plan on buying a ton of the stuff from today, but it definitely hit home for the 90's kid in me and then there were lots of the video games I grew up playing. It seems like the target market age was 25-35 and Funko really wants to cash in on the nostalgia. Nickelodeon, Space Jam, Tekken, Street Fighter, retro games, all raised an eyebrow for me. Then some of the more recent shows like Workaholics and Parks and Rec fit right into that age bracket as well.

I'm sure you are right. I just wonder how many retail purchasing agents there to place buy orders at this event were in that age range lol

Funko typically makes something for everyone which is what has made them great. They put out products and series that have mass appeal, and they also mix in some items they know will have a smaller audience (H-B for example). And it's usually a good mix, they have the rainmakers and the fringe stuff. So today's announcements were really perplexing, most seemed very narrowly focused. No big rainmakers except maybe LotR. But who knows, we'll see what develops for NYTF and ECCC soon!

Great to finally see some Looney Tunes related Pops but really wish they were just standard and not dressed up in their Space Jam clothing.

Hello all, been reading since Christmas and the addiction has started.

Are these exclusive to London or will they be in the ststes? Also which stores get Who? Or is this to soon to determine?

I'm really digging like 4 of those pop sets and would like to collect em all!

Today was a great day of reveals, so glad to see so many video games getting love!
There was a lot of variety between video games, movies, old and new TV shows, anime, music. Just because someone doesn't personally know these franchises believe me they do have large fan bases that are happy to get any type merchandise. Also, I think it's a good time for some 90s nostalgia!

I am happy that nothing really got me excited. I am prepping for all the Star Wars pops this year so my wallet was celebrating today. I was hoping Metallica would be shown ( praying they are released soon). My brother loved the Deathnote and Overwatch Pops so much he is already making space for them lol

LOTR and Space Jam pops for me. The new wave of Batman the Animated Series looks great too. If this is just a sample of their upcoming products it's gonna be an expensive year. They really need to make some Simpsons Dorbz though.

I feel like they're saving their big guns for NYTF and we're all going to really be crying then. There were so many things I want from today though. I might have to expand my shelves when I get my refund.

I was plenty excited by the end of today. Between Batman Villains, more Overwatch characters and some fantastic LOTR stuff I think it'll be a fun year.

I agree. I was totally into Alias when it was out (at least for the first 2 or 3 seasons) but I honestly had totally forgotten about that show. Maybe there is a huge underground Alias fandom that we know nothing about? Super secret viewing parties with a secret code to get in? Spy style.

Maybe it's because there are so many looks for Sydney? Same basic pop, but do a couple of color tweaks and you've got a million looks?

There is a lot of cool stuff coming out, but not much caught my eye from this announcement either. I normally am super pumped about most of the stuff announced, but only things I really care about are BAS, Tekken, SF PHS, and the Video Game minis. Not really into Park & Recreation funny show, but I'm cool. Same goes for Alias, Teen Wolf and Twin Peaks all great to watch but I'm not moved to have them in my collection.

There is nothing UK or overseas specific about these, Funko just took the option to use this toy fair to announce a bunch of stuff. As far as exclusives, I'm guessing that most of these are not exclusive and that any exclusives will be announced later.

Catdog and Rugrats are the only ones that of interest to me. Hopefully there will be some more things that catch my eye at NYTF.

But if not, that's ok. Fewer must haves this year means I have a chance to catch up on some other lines, like Disney, which I've only just started collecting.

I'm super excited about Lord of the Rings, that Balrog looks amazing. Also happy about Parks & Rec and thinking what Ben's reaction to Lil Sebastian being made before him would be.

^ Ha! I think they split up the P'n'R crew pretty well. Wave 2 can be Donna, Ann, Chris, Ben, and Jerry, then a sixth wildcard like Lil Sebastian. At least I really hope that's how it shakes out. Having half an ensemble cast drives me up the wall.

Funko has rights to Looney Tunes, possibly the most iconic cartoon characters of all time... Half their animation lines wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for Looney Tunes... and they give us... Space Jam?!

Jimi Hendrix and maybe some of the LotR for me, but basically nothing else on this jumps out at me.
The wife will get the Mystery Science Theatre for sure, she's very happy about them.

The Space Jams pops give me hope for regular Looney Tunes eventually, which I look forward to since I didn't really care the SJ movie.

Some of the DC TV mystery minis will be mine and I hope the Donnie Darko Dorbz mean Pops are coming too.

Cool list overall, just not much I want for myself.

It's not like Funko won't get most of my money this year anyway, ha.

They just had to tease us first with this set lol

I mean Space Jam 2 is in the works so I'm not too surprised with them releasing this first. I'm excited for all the Looney Tunes POPs and Dorbz though!

All I know is that this got me super excited for Toy Fair next month and the possibility of seeing some of these as actual molds. I know Funko probably still has some secrets up their sleeves and they didn't want to spoil everything for us.
